"This is one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants I’ve experienced outside of Japan. Nothing too fancy but very authentic at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!"

"Very friendly staff who work hard to inform you of your choices if you have an allergy. Nice food and large menu. Worth a visit."

"Wasn't busy so quick to order. Pink ling fish n chips cost $15. Included lemon, vinegar, tomato and BBQ sauce. Quick and easy meal. Fish was moist and firm. Enough to share between two people if not too hungry. We recommend this place. I had the Riesling, it's really simple and I didn't enjoy it so much. Seems to be a wine made for this restaurant under their own private label."

"Great food, poor service. Upon arrival at the Astor Grill we were warmly welcomed. Our entree and main meals were ordered and received promptly. They were delicious! While we had not yet ordered any drinks we waited patiently while our water was continually topped up by other wait staff. Our plates were taken away and we anxiously awaited to deserts menu we had seen other tables enjoying. Unfortunately we had been forgotten about. We waited for 40 minutes, other tables were receiving great service, drinks, and deserts of course! The restaurant began to clear and due to the awkwardness 50 minutes after we finished our main meals we too decided to leave. At payment, the host cheekily...read more"

"Imitate &amp; cosy - a perfect place for that special date or imitate catch up with friends, a place that makes you feel so welcomed &amp; relaxed.<br> <br> Share plates are on the menu (I must admit I am now over the tapas share style menus - I just want to eat a decent portion of food! ????). I was more than happy to skip the share style &amp; go straight for the main meals but being with a foodie, we ordered a range of tapas plates as well as main &amp; dessert.<br> <br> Highlights for me in the tapas range was the market fish, which was salmon, served with salmon belly &amp; Tasmanian avocado. Wow, so creamy &amp; melt in your mouth.<br> <br> The true highlights for me was the main market fish, which was blue eye. Wow!!!!! This was so good, crispy skin, beautiful potatoes. I want another reason to come here to have this &amp; the dessert of ginger brulee. Perfection.<br> <br> The eclaire was a let down of all the dishes, it was too cripsy like toasted bread.<br> <br> Service was excellent - staff are very knowledgeable of the... <a class="read-more" href="#">read more</a>"
