"Ichima is my family's go to Sushi restaurant for the past 14 years. Have seen alot of new employees, but all are very friendly. The cost have gone up slightly, but we love to support them. With the pendamic, I'm sure all restaurants have struggled. If you Lve Sushi , give Ichima a try."

"Was not long here, things have definitely changed. Tuna Tartare tested more like a tuna poke', lobster special is not the same spicy tuna..."

"I took my family and two guests to Tap Kitchen for the first time tonight and, man, was it amazing! From their reliable beer selection to the innovative menu, finishing up with the wonderful desserts, we all had a fantastic experience. My daughter (7 yrs old), who is generally picky, raved about the octopus and fried chicken confit. Most of the food is tapas style. I'm usually not too keen on tapas (I don't like to share), but the flavors were so good that it would be a crime to not have a taste of as many of Chef Joseph's creations as possible. Yes, the food and drink were great, but so was the service. Just the right amount of attention, and Chef would come over to see how things were going and made some great suggestions while we were deciding. It's an open kitchen and my daughters love to watch the process and Chef Joseph provided a real education for them, describing the methods behind the flavor. We will DEFINITELY be back. In fact, Chef Joseph mentioned Cheesy Tuesdays, where they serve cheese-themed plates, many of which seemed great for kids and adults alike, and they play cheesy 80's music at the same time. I'm totally down for that."

"Sushi places live or die based on how the rice is prepared. The fish plays a secondary role to the rice itself. This place knows how to prepare sushi rice and I would think it is a closely guarded family secret. The ginger does not appear to be from a mass market supplier. It has faint green edges in some places. Wasabi is pungent almost hand ground. To be located in Pasadena of all places, what a surprise. Nice local place for credible sushi."

"This restaurant still works a few knicke. I think if they get into the nut of the things, it will be much better. the food was tasty. service and kitchen need a little work (which means that they only have to come into a rhythm if the restaurant is more busy than usual). the credit card machine went down and my friend and I sat at our table chat (which was good since we were not in a hurry), but it would have been ideal if someone came to us and told us that the credit card machine was down. we only found out when we wanted to go and went to pay our bill. fortunately we had hardly enough money available to pay our bill. I would also say that they should increase their beer selection, I only saw 3 beers on the menu in the dining room."

"This is by far one of my favorite places to eat in Los Angeles, and it is definitely my number one place for brunch. It is also a fact that it is the only place in the entire Los Angeles metropolitan area that makes and serves my favorite drink in the world, the elusive Ramos gin fizz. This is one of the most hated drinks for bartenders because of how complex and difficult it is to make, and yet this place has it in their menu. The fact that they offer this cocktail when nobody else in the city will just shows their dedication to excellence. When it comes to customer service every time I walk in I am greeted by name like if I was an old friend. They have never let me down."

"I've been going to Malbec for a few years and it's always a special treat. My GF and I would go to Toluca Lake and then go to Pasadena in a while. We hadn't gone since COVID met and on 1. October this year we decided to go to the Pasadena location. We met friends there. It was an amazing time! The only problem we had was that I reserved a table and they couldn't find the reservation first. We sat at our table and everything was nice and clean. The waiter was very attentive and went over the menu. My GF and I ordered red cabbage wine and our friends ordered the Sangria. The wine was excellent and our friends said the Sangria was very delicious! We also had some bread with Chimichurri sauce before we had our ducks. Even that was great. We also ordered duo de empanadas (Bef and ham/Cheese empanadas) mmmm. We weren't full before we got our main dishes. I ordered the costillas de Corderro (rock of lamb) with a Madeira wine and Porcini sauce. I had smeared potatoes with spinach as sides. Ohh... it was heaven. Yum! The meat was juicy and soft. The sauce was perfect. My pages were delicious. My GF had the Fetuccines con salmon (salmon fatuccine). She said it was delicious. I tried and agreed. One of our friends had the lenguado al Limon y alcaparras (beautiful sole with lemon caps). I didn't try, but he said it was delicious. I took a picture. The waiter checked us and was excellent. When we finished eating, we decided not to have dessert and finished. Although from my past experience, I know that the Panques de dulce de leche are yummy and my favorite. I have to get the next time. Later I asked some more empanadas to go and paid while I spoke to the manager. He actually reminded me to visit Toluca Lake restaurant. He was now at Pasadena. That was a great experience in Malbecs from Pasadena!"
