"Surprised to see a few unfavourable reviews.My wife and I live 20 mins away and have eaten here on many occasions and have always enjoyed the food.The place is dark with little natural light and it does look a bit tired in places.The waiters are...not in The Macdonalds have a nice day enjoy your meal mode but the larger waiter in particular is always friendly doesn`t speak any English but talks to us at length in Spanish of which we understand very little.Today we took friends who were up from the coast to experience a taste of true Spain and were not disappointed.We have previously had the 20€ typical local menu which is excellent but this is very filling so we chose the 15€ menu which had more lighter options.We ordered some of the local beers which came with aperitivos -freshly baked savoury biscuits with tomato toppings.For primeros two of us had dacsas (a corn pancake)topped with a ratatouille,chopped egg and anchovies which were superior to other dacsas I have seen.My wife and I had the merluza salad which were quenelles made with mashed hake and cream.A delicious and sophisticated starter.For segundo we had decided to have the baked Tuna but was told that this was not available.Instead I had a delicious baked baccalou? cod with a cheesy topping and others had a juicy baked salmon and pork tenderloin with a rich fruity sauce.All were served with a small garnish of veg and a tasty baked potato.Postres included the usual flan and a fresh pineapple.Personally I think it is good quality food and will be going again and will recommend it"

"The food is great and the place I love. But today they have had a very ugly detail. We've gone for a drink and we've been told that it was all booked on the terrace. Not only are there empty tables more than half an hour later, but a couple has been sitting, two minutes after we go to the bar across the street, and I doubt they had a reservation because they have only drank. I don't understand."

"The Marseilles Bouillabaisse is a winner! The beef short rib is only okay but not outstanding. Good service, catering to babies, with high chairs (we saw multiple other prams parked out the front) but you'll need to ask for the key to the outside bathroom with baby change table.
