"After having delivered twice and already eaten 2-3 times, this is my impression of this place: most foods are amazing, I had rice and a few curries that was brot ok. they make the best lamb and okra curry I've ever tasted, I've actually tried to find a replacement for him closer and that was the best so far. the rice I love was told that is usually cooked in chicken or meat broth. the only one settled, was their chicken and sweetcorn soup, even after adding some seasoning it was still extremely bland. also the cheeky driver appeared after 2 hours with my food! very annoying when they are hungry and look forward to their meal! the decor the atmosphere is warm, cozy and family-friendly. the waiters were very friendly and helpful. they do not serve any alcohol, but they can their own, no cork fee! how amazing is that? I and my friend enjoyed 2 nice evenings, warm atmosphere, friendly service and tasty eating!"

"The food tasted really good. but the portions were incredibly small. I ordered to take away from here and the portions were good. but the dune in the experience was not very great. the service was just ok. when I was served rice on the table, it was placed so that the serviette was half in the plate. the part was tiny and I had to order another part and I was accused for pickel. 60p, not much, but most restaurants give that for free. in general not the best for in. not go back in there. take them away could be an option, but the last!"

"Really enjoyed the food here and it was very reasonably priced. What really made the evening for us were the staff. They were so friendly and when they found out we were celebrating an anniversary, they bought us a pudding with Happy Anniversary written on the plate. Will definitely be going back."

"Arrived fast , volcanically hot . Flavours were just right . Nice to see fingers of okra (rather than tiny slices which ruins the texture for me). Madras was properly balanced it was hot but you could taste the aromatic spices as well as the heat. Lamb was generous and chunky . Fresh coriander over everything which I like . No grease , fresh tasting. Very much needed as a treat after a horrible day. Thanks guys"

"It's always a treat to visit Spice Carriage. On entering this quasi vintage train carriage you are immediately greeted with a warm welcome. The glass of wine I had was quite fine but the food was amazing. They do a great 3 course deal for just £9 on Sundays and also a weekday, (can't remember which one) with a special menu that includes side dishes and tea and coffee. They use carefully selected fresh ingredients blended extremely well. Nothing is overwhelming to the tastebuds. Instead they I greeted with a variety of subtle mixes of delicious flavours. The meats are always delicate and pastries are light and crispy. I always look forwards to an evening out at the Spice Carriage."

"Have ordered from here for over 5 years, and always received great quality yummy food, it's very reasonably priced. The restaurant itself could do with an update, but this doesn't bother me as I always get my meal to take away. Definitely one of the best around the area."
