"Visited on recommendation of a friend and it was better than expected! I wish I could give 5.5 or 6 stars. fantastic eating, welcoming and friendly atmosphere, generous portions, fast service and entertaining interior atmosphere. I really enjoyed the pecan smoked chicken pulled, and the sides were great. loves the grain! we haven't tried it yet, but next time I have to save some space for this dessertbuffet. a convenient extra is that the parking is connected to a service station, with some of the lowest gas prices I have seen on the interstate."

"This place is not your average 'fast food ' joint, it is much better. Fresh patted hamburgers with some of the freshest and most crisp lettuce, onion, and tomato you will ever get. Sausage dogs, hot dogs with quality slaw, fries are always hot. It is one of the few places in town where you can get a small fried shrimp meal. I have NEVER had anything from there I didn 't like. Loads of items to choose from and at an average price. This place has been around since I was a little girl and sometimes I feel like I don 't eat there nearly enough."

"This was a pleasant surprise. The 4 1/2 star rating is right on. The bang bang shrimp and onion rings were excellent. So was my wife's shrimp and grits. Love the quaint atmosphere with out door seating. They have indoor seating but only a few tables. Service was very friendly and welcoming for people outside the area."

"The seating area is extremely filthy, and the food is smothered in grease. I ordered the fried mushrooms and they were very salty and tasted like fish. I will not ever return."

"I went here for one reason alone and that was because they serve burnt ends. Not sure what burnt ends are? The best description I can give you that it is the bacon of the beef world. I also had some of their St. Louis spare ribs. Both meats were very tender and had an excellent smoked flavor. My one side was brussel sprouts with bourbon honey glaze and the other was the mac and cheese. The brussel sprouts were a little on the sweet side and the mac and cheese was nothing special. They have a nice happy hour from 3:00 to 7:00 though. Our server did a great job and the pricing was lower than some other barbecue places but I would say that is because portions were slightly smaller. There's plenty of other things on the menu I'd like to try, so I'll be going back here next time I can. Maybe I'll see you there."

"Loved it! We had Ribs, chicken, pulled pork, Brunswick Stew, sweet tea and the pecan pie. All great. Took some BBQ Sauce, tea and Pies to go. Great service and great food. Well worth the detour from the Interstate."

"We spent the night at a nearby hotel and needed to find somewhere to eat. The food and service in this establishment was beyond excellent. The meats were moist and yet melted in your mouth. The dry rub ribs were by far the best I have ever had. I only wish they were closer to my home in SW Florida."
