"Wonderful pot roast with potatoes and green beans. Only baked love rolls and pumpkin muffins. And ending with the gingerbread desert is our favorite. The bar room service was great this morning at 11:00. Perfect lunch."

"We had a large party however this place was ready for it. Their menu is huge. They offer everything from breakfast to dinner.our server was a little forgetful with extras but our food came out correct and it was good. She was very honest with our questions of what to get and her not so favorites we appreciate that. If your near wake forest this is a keeper. And they even sell jars of apple butter and other jams at checkout."

"I work in a salon in the same shopping center, and The Sherwood came highly recommended for a quick bite in between clients. I ordered the Blackened Chicken breast, and it was absolutely divine. I have it at least 2x a week. Steamed broccoli and a Caesar set it all off. Amazing. Love the staff, always feel welcomed and leave full. Definitely try this place!"

"Fried okra was the best I ever had. I had the slightly spiced laughs. it was perfect. came with an salad before the meal. great. my nabeby has the fried flounder and garnel. he said it was delicious. the next time he would decide to try another side against the Cole stole. we're coming back!"

"Good things to know: Score is 94.5 It is drive thru only. Food was sooooo gooooood. I got a small bbq tray with hushpuppies and mac n cheese (they put black pepper in their mac, which I like but I know it might be unexpected so heads up). We also got a large bbq tray with baked beans and mac and cheese. It comes in sizeable take out trays with fork and napkin. The Bbq was tender, juicy, and flavorful. I loooove a yummy hush puppy and these were super tasty and big. Beans I would say werr average baked beans. Overall we were both drooling over everything!! We both have enough left for another meal. We paid about $22. People were friendly. We will be going back!"

"Another nice spot in downtown WS, the food is delicious and has a lot of soul. Love all the dishes with sweet potatoes, and food tasted amazing. Plus, the sweet tea is off the hook. If you are picky on your tea, then you know what I mean."
