"Everything was great but they pack people like sardines in that place, a table big enough for 2 is used to squeeze 3-4 people. Glad the food was good but it was very uncomfortably tight in there."

"The service was outstanding despite being very busy. Never had to ask for another fork, etc. Possibly the best house salad in Madison, mixed greens with fennel, shaved very thinly. The entrees were all well presented and seasoned to our tastes. Hard not to share between the three of us. The desserts while fairly ordinary were quite good. I would highly recommend Lombardino's with only a slight hesitation, the parking. A block bone chilling walk on a below zero night."

"I’ve been wanting to try Batali’s pizza for a long time and after a few attempts to get reservations, we finally got in at a decent time. You’ll definitely want to make reservations to eat here, that is, unless you don’t mind eating really early or really late (they’re open til midnight . It’s a pretty small restaurant and the bar is open seating, but it looks like it can only sit about 1/2 a dozen people. The ambience is sort of an upscale casual. At the end of the day it’s still just a pizzera…just a bit nicer : The neat thing about the pizza is that it’s extremely thin but with a puffy crust. It’s an interesting combination. You can really tell that each pizza’s flavor was thoughtfully concocted. I also recommend ordering a number of the appetizers – the mozza caprese was awesome and all the others we saw looked tasty. I definitely want to come back and try the other pizzas. I’ll probably stick to more of the veggie-ish pizzas – I think they have a more delicate balance of flavor than the meat-centric ones."

"Wow. What a great meal and a great experience as always. Once again the entire staff at Marianna's made this yet another memorable experience. The food was exquisite, the wine fantastic, and staff and service second to none. We are planning our retirement and move to AZ within the next 10 months and I can say that Marianna's is going to be the one and only place and the one and only experience in the ENTIRE Puget Sound area we are going to miss. Marianna's would be the ONLY reason we'd ever come back up here."
