"We drive by this cafe almost every day & it always seems busy so we decided to go there for breakfast. I had the southwest crepe (filled with scrambled eggs, peppers, onions, bacon & cheese served with salsa) & my husband had the Monaghan meat breakfast (ham, bacon & sausage with eggs over medium). The server was friendly & efficient despite waiting on 6 tables by herself. We have never been served a meal so fast! Everything was hot & tasty and the eggs were cooked as ordered. We can't wait to go back for the Eggs Benedict & Western Omelette! They serve lunch + all day breakfast which is great if you can't agree which meal to go out for LOL."

"Awesome breakfast with the best home fries in Peterborough. The clubhouse sandwich is great, too. Comfortable, family atmosphere, friendly staff and very reasonable prices. This has been our go-to spot for breakfast for over 15 years, eat-in and take-out. I highly recommend."

"We went there on Sunday for breakfast. It was Mother's Day and all the popular places in town were busy with line ups to be seated. I had been here previously before and remembered it to be very quaint and clean. It kind of reminded me of one of those days gone by restaurants that were dotted everywhere in the early to mid sixties. In a residential setting situated between Park St S and Monaghan Rd on the north side of Romain St, you have to pay attention or you'll just drive by. It's not fancy but it's warm and has its regulars. My guest and I order the same thing. We opted for "the Hideaway Breakfast". The meal we ordered consisted of three eggs, bacon, sausage and ham. It also was sided with toast and home fries and was delicious. All in all, it was very nice experience. The servers went out if their way to ensure our stay was delightful, the price charged for the food was reasonable and with its throwback appeal, my guest just loved the place. We will be back!!"

"Pros: The staff are awesome, the girl that served me was very nice and understanding. Cons: Unfortunately the food (or at least what I had). I ordered 6oz Steak and eggs with whole wheat toast and for desert a piece of coconut cream pie. First off the toast came out as white, not whole wheat...not a big deal, the steak wasn't cooked to the way I asked (the waitress asked if I wanted both toast and steak returned, and I declined). The I'm pretty sure the steak was out of a box from Walmart. Then I had the pie...the texture of the filling was way off, and the crust was like a loaf of bread, I didn't send it back because I figured there was to much going wrong already and I felt bad for the girl serving me. As I said the waitress was very nice and at the end of the meal she game me a 50% discount on the steak and eggs."

"With a friend who recommended the queensway to throw in to the breakfast. had an excellent breakfast omelette, from my design, with fraught and roggen toast. the coffee was hot, tasty and was delivered quite immediately with top-ups continuously. After I had finished my...Meal, I was kind of hit that there was no drop of oil or fat on my teller! the staff was very attentive and friendly as possible. smile everywhere. if they are looking for a delicious breakfast and coffee in peterborough, do not hesitate to try this place. you will not regret it."
