"Honestly the most dreadful awful fish and chips I’ve ever had. It was soggy and full of grease. Literally oozed grease with each bite it was disgusting. The fries were old and cold and the tartar sauce was more bland than flour. Cant believe I wasted $20 on this BS. Don’t go here."

"This little gem is a must. The food is really good, I have never once been disappointed by anything here and the fries are particularly awesome. The prices are really good, it's hard to find a place where 2 people can eat for less than 25$ but you certainly can here. Best little breakfast spot, I'd call it a greasy spoon but it really isn't, it's a lovely, well priced, and very clean spoon. Go there and eat fries."

"The place was neat and clean. There are 2 sections inside, almost 2 separate rooms. One section had karaoke, which was a bit too loud for our party to have conversation, even though we were sitting in the other section. We moved to sit outside.There was a food truck on the premises with nice pulled pork dishes. There was a nice variety of beverages with non-alcoholic options.The place had a menu with food and when I ordered tortilla chips and salsa, it was a bag of tortilla chips and a plastic container of salsa (which was more like sweet tomato sauce with a bit of stuff in it and not spicy at all). There were no dishes or cutlery so we ate straight out of the bag. A bit unusual, but it was fine.The best part of this place though, was our server. She did an excellent job, very friendly, efficient, carried the very full glass of beer to the table without one drop spilling! Good customer service is hard to come by these days, but she was excellent."

"Very good tacos! I had the keviche and a chicken tobacco. Both were delicious and I had no reaction. We ordered takeout and the person on the phone was very soothing! My only comment would be that the takeout boxes were not with what was gf and what was not."

"Great spot!. We went to Charlie's for the first time in ages tonight. The place was decently busy, about six tables were full when we walked in around 7:30 p.m. We ordered chips, salsa, and guacamole to start. The guacamole had a great lime-y flavour. I decided to try the Mexican soda. I recommend it! The mandarin flavour was tasty and not sweet at all, like a mix between Orangina and Crush. I ordered the beef tacos. It was six mini corn tortillas, spicy beef, and all the usual sides (green salsa, red salsa, cilantro, etc. . <br/ <br/ Charlie was there and super friendly, as always. He's a character! He had time to chat a bit to us in throughout the meal, and it was nice to feel so at home. Port Moody could use more mom-and-pop places like this! Go for the kitschy ambience, tasty food, and friendly service! You won't find anything else like Charlie's in the Tri-Cities."
