"Our favourite local, always ready to receive all and sundry with a smile. We have been coming here for years and we are so great full they are at a short walking distance from our home so we get to have a quick catch up before work or in between jobs! The service is outstanding and the welcome is so warm from all the staff (including the wonderful gentleman who will rush over to dry the outside bench and put a cushion down for me, while asking how I am! that they feel like friends to us. A great selection of tea and good coffee, plus lovely breakfast. Keep your chins up guys, it’s been really hard with this COVID situation and you have done great!"

"Just reopened and so far so good!! The garden looked stunning and the service was attentive. They were not serving food when we got there but it looks as if the are starting slowly!!"

"We booked our table online and had to cancel due to my grandson being I’ll , so we rebooked for the following week, the staff were happy with the fact that we phoned them to cancel and rebook as so many people don’t let them know. On our arrival we were greeted with a smile and was lead straight to our table. We received the menu and asked what we wanted to drink while browsing through the menu, we had popadoms and chutneys, then I had vegetable pakora and my daughter had onion Bahjis and number 1 Granson (13) asked me what should he have , I recommended what I normally have , prawn on puri . All the starters were very nice so onto our main dishes, chicken rogan lamb rogan and chicken kyhaber . We also had side dishes of saag aloo mushroom bahji saag paneer accompanied with mushroom rice and keema naan and peshwari naan . I know this sounds a lot of food for 3 people even if one of us is only 13 , but he ate like a grown man and it was banquet night so smaller portions, but there was plenty for us . Sorry about quality of photos as they don’t do the food the justice it deserves. Well done to all the team ."

"Went last Sunday after so many beautiful contributions to see about eating! we were certainly not disappointed, our expectations were even exceeded. the only carvery we were (and this is a couple) that for children, vegetarian, adult, pedestrian eater, big eater the amount! (the only thing missing was a carvery option for vegetarian children who did not mean a full-priced adult meal, but she suffocated with the no meat child option). the eating was amazing, the personal super and we especially loved what they did with the pub, decor at point! soon back"

"My family have been using AK Spices for several years and have always had excellent meals. However, we've just had a very disappointing takeaway. Where's all the meat gone?! Very measly portions of both meat and prawns in the dansak and biryanis. We remember lovely, juicy chunks of meat in all the dishes, now we need a magnifying glass to locate them! Very disappointing as the flavour of the dishes was fantastic and delivery was on time."
