"Love this place! The staff are wonderful, we always feel so welcome and nothing is ever a trouble for them. The food is excellent, my hubby is oober fussy about steak and has had about 9 steaks there and never a complaint. The quiz night on a Wednesday is a great laugh, with free chip butties! Everything a pub should be and more!"

"The address shown for this listing is the Spar shop in the centre of Buckley. If you step into that shop and look immediately to your left then there, just behind the fresh fruit section, you'll see a Costa Express machine. You can pick up a paper cup, stick in under the dispenser and then press a button to select the hot drink of your choice. You then need to carry it over to the till on the opposite side of the shop to pay for it and then take it out of the shop and either drink it while walking about or otherwise find a bench to sit on. It's strictly self service and you only have the option of a paper cup but at least being in a Spar you can buy a coffee from 7am to 11pm every day of the week. If you want a Costa coffee in a proper cup and you want to drink it sat on a chair next to a table and you also want to select from a small but overpriced range of snacks then there's a proper Costa Coffee cafe in the shopping centre just over the road. That branch has its own listing on TripAdvisor so there's no need to comment further about it in this review."

"Making a visit having not been for several months and hoping for an improved experience. Slowish table service, impassive check out, loud intrusive music, very little local produce in the shop. Overall a fairly underwhelming visit...again. The coffee and brownies were good though but will leave it several months before returning, if ever."

"We have eaten some paints here and had taken some paints away. we can only say good things about it. eating is always of high quality and really delicious. the price-performance ratio is hard to beat. when they eat in the restaurant, they can take their own drinks! that means they can have a fantastic quality meal, along with their favorite tip for about half the usual price. we could not recommend it enough. also the employees are polite, attentive and helpful. try it out....you will be glad that they have done it!"

"Visited bank holiday weekend whilst at the Alpaca farm and must say not a big fan of carvery restaurants and always a bit carful about visiting local restaurants out of city. Must say i have now found a carvery that cooks an actual roast with flavor, presentation and cooked to perfection, the chef was very engaging and pleasant and made us feel at ease, really nice chap and a credit to the business."
