"I have eaten at this restaurant times now. While my last experience hasn’t necessarily deterred me, I won’t be rushing back. It’s a self service restaurant which is fine. We ordered drinks, starters main.....however the starters main arrived at the same time...so our little table was full I don’t feel like we got to savour each dish. The music in this restaurant is overwhelmingly loud. I could barely have a conversation with my partner. I feel this restaurant is tailored to a younger crowd even to the point where you couldn’t tell who was staff or patrons as the staff don’t wear any type of uniform. Within of ordering we were eating so that’s a positive."

"Tried the spicy chicken burger and it was pretty damn tasty. Option to swap out fries for onion rings or sweet potato fries is a nice change."

"After reading mostly negative reviews about Chong Yees we went for dinner anyway. This was not my first visit I should mention, but the first visit this year. The food was excellent, the Hot 'n Sour soups were to die for. All the other meals were hot, fresh and tasty. The crowd was a mix of 70% visitors and 30% locals. (Jindabyne is a seasonal snow town for those that do not know.) The one negative was that as it's a seasonal town, staff are sometimes hard to get and often a local friend will help out. I think this was the case here as our server was less than friendly and never smiled. However, we laughed her off and had a very enjoyable meal that was reasonably priced. We will be back, but back knowing this is a small town Chinese restaurant, not Spice Temple or Mr Wong's."

"We got some take away from this unassuming little restaurant. It was superb. The food was ready in no time at all, the staff had the biggest smiles. Onion bahji were sublime, a little bit crispy, a little bit spicy. Garlic naan, so garlic, buttery good. Lamb rogan Josh was tender but the high light was the butter chicken. Chicken was a little charred and cooked to perfection, the sauce tasty creamy delicious."

"Staff were very nice. Food was really bad all tasted like (frozen) food deep fried. Potato scollop was rock hard calamari tasted strange overall bad experience could not eat it"
