"Sometime back I had the pleasure to welcome 4 of my childhood friends from Madrid here in Dublin. As you can imagine, one of the highlights of our weekend was the food, as I was delighted to show them what Dublin has to offer.<br/ <br/ After tasting a few of my favorites, I took them for Brunch (something we don’t do in Madrid as I already explain due to schedule differences). I wanted them to have a real Brunch experience with eggs Benedict so without any doubt I brought them to the place in Dublin where, in my opinion, they make the best eggs Benedict in town: Eden Bar Grill.<br/ <br/ Again, another spot in the creative quarter of South William Street, this neighborhood will never stop delighting me. It’s not a surprise I chose it as my home as well, it couldn’t be different!<br/ <br/ Eden Bar Grill is a piece of relaxing atmosphere in the center of this hectic neighborhood as once you cross the door, a soft jazz music and lovely service brings you to the most finest of the “brunch moods”.<br/ <br/ For me, as I already said, this is THE place for eggs Benedict, and you know Dublin is full of brunch places with a ferocious competition over eggs Benedict. Anyway, if you are not fun of eggs in general, as some of my friends, you can always go for other nice options like the full Irish breakfast (made in a fine way, don’t forget everything in this place is elegant and delicate).<br/ <br/ As well, you cannot go without ordering some of the brunch cocktails. The typical mimosa is not in the menu, but if you order it they will happily make it for you with no problems. "I'd been dying to try Bison Bar for ages. I gave my boyfriend the choice of tapas or BBQ and of course he chose BBQ so off we went to Bison on a Saturday evening before going to a show. When you first walk in you're not too sure what to do because it's essentially a dive bar inside. There was a waitress hanging around and she asked were we there for food or drinks. Answering food she told us to sit at one of the free tables in front of the window (which is grand for people watching) handed us menus and told us to order at the bar. I went for the pulled pork, chips and onion rings (I love beige food, me). Padraig had the half chicken, potatoe salad and chips. The barman who took our order was super friendly and food was quick to come out. The chips were lovely really crispy and served with a Chipotle dip. The batter on the onion rings was amazing. The pulled pork, the bit I was most excited for, was good. It was super tender and it was a huge portion but for me was lacking a slight bit of flavour. This was helped by putting some of the BBQ sauce that's on the table on top. There's also a fab mustard y BBQ sauce on the table which was right up my street! I had the Calamity Jack cocktail which was nice strong and Padraig had a bottle of Orchard Thieves. Total cost was around €40 which I thought was alright. This place is super casual and would be a great place for a group to go. Would definitely return."

"Waited 30 minutes outside for them to open and left, meaning they opened after 3:30pm waste of time, wish at least they could tell us they would open later or say what time I should wait until. Service: Dine in"

"Grand if you need something decent to eat in a hurry. The place could do with an update though. Things like the drink dispenser were out of order. Don't offer as many things as they used to (no mustard/mayo dispenser). Also feels like the place could be a bit cleaner. "Old school sometimes wins. Hands down! The Salt Cellar is one such old school deli that whips out sandwiches, salads, and soups, but also has a cafe esque seating area inside, giving it that ideal blend of old meets new. Check out the picture of the radio they have (see the photo I've uploaded below . They serve some of the best ham cheese sandwiches across town nice, thick cut ham between lovely white or brown bread, with oodles of cheese. It's easily one of the best I've ever had! And the best part is that the thickness of the ham doesn't change day to day it's consistent, almost like a science! Check out the 2 sandwich photos from different days they're near identical : <br/ <br/ They also have salads (Caesar for looking at a healthier option, especially during the workday, as well as a couple of other sandwich options with paninis. There's also the lasagna and chicken nuggets, and of course, 3 kinds of soups, of which the chicken noodle soup absolutely rocks! It's open only for lunch and there's usually a big queue early on itself, but the turn around time if quite fast, so you won't be left waiting too long. It's been a life saver for us whenever we've needed a quick, yummy lunch :"

"This restaurant is a whisker away from a Michelin star. My starter was the best French onion soup I've ever had anywhere including France and my lamb was superb and well presented. Service was also very good. However although delicious, my Emma's chocolate fondant was not liquid inside; and although my cheeses were very good, no one explained the varieties I had and there was no choice. These little things are important when trying to get into Michelin's books but they are really minor and certainly won't stop me from returning. Which I will very soon."
