"My favourite local bakery. I've been going here since I was a kid and happy to see they've still been able to keep their prices low. It's $2 flat for a lot of the pastries like sausage rolls, choc croissants, fruit pastries, $2.75 for spinach roll I would recommend all of these, there is not a bad choice. And sets of breads for around $4. Some days they do sell out of certain things by the afternoon so best to get there earlier. Some days the breads are a fresher than others but you can't beat the price."

"I had dinner twice here last week in successive days. The food was delicious and great. Portion size you get is enough for one individual per dish. The patio area is great to consider for seating if one is interested. I dined inside the restaurant and the ambience is very good. Based on what I ordered the cost is economical. I would definitely suggest this restaurant."

"Came here on a weeknight for a quick dinner, and I immediately loved the vibe. It feels like an authentic Japanese izakaya, with a very open dining area great for groups or a night out. We tried several different dishes including the karaage, skewer set, and seaweed salad. I thought most of the food was pretty average, the hits I liked most were the teriyaki chicken thigh and the rice ball, but the chicken skin was a big miss. Overall I might come back for the vibes, but I would only come back for the food if I was specifically craving skewers they were honestly a bit pricy for the portions."

"Norling is one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto. I'm currently living elsewhere, and it's one of my first stops when I'm back in town. It's a favourite place to bring friends and family when I want to share something really wonderful with them. The food is like nothing I've had elsewhere spicy but balanced and complex. The gyuma and tsey khatsa are my two favourite dishes. Gyuma is a blood sausage served in a delicious mixture of spices, onion and hot peppers. Tsey khatsa is a dish of vegetable fritters, a bit like pakora, served in a fantastic spicy sauce. We always get an order of tingmo (steamed buns) to sop up the extra sauce. It's also great served with the chilly pork ordered dry (instead of saucy). The momos are a solid choice here, but I usually prioritize the above items. I can't speak to the Hakka menu, but the Tibetan items are some of the best food I've eaten anywhere.<br/ <br/ The service is always great at Norling; they're friendly and take real pride in the food. The atmosphere is casual but nice. On top of everything, the prices are very reasonable. Dollar for dollar it's the best meal you'll get in Toronto."
