"This restaurant is in a renovated house on the old hiway and the large "restaurant" sign on the patio caught my eye so I pulled in even though I had my sites set on a different place. I came in for lunch just after noon while on a trip to Vegreville. The soup and sandwich special was "Egg salad and Onion soup" as well as spaghetti.I found a place to sit and the waitress was very friendly and joking with me. I ordered the soup and sandwich. It took a bit longer than I expected for a meal that was the daily special but not too long, maybe 15 minutes. When she brought my food it looked great. The soup was scratch made with real onions and like no other "french" onion soup I had ever had, excellent. And the egg salad sandwich, well it was chicken salad. But it was still good. I told the waitress and she apologized to me over and over. I told her it was OK and that it was a good chicken salad sandwich. It turns out that the chef and the waitress had a communication issue on the sandwich type but before I left she changed the sign for the daily special to "chicken salad sandwich"Overall it was great. Except I will always be wondering what their egg salad sandwich tastes like."

"I absolutely LOVE this place!! I would suggest getting the Wongtong soup it’s the perfect amount of soup meat and broccoli even if your kids don’t like broccoli it’s soft and they’ll definitely eat that! . The owner/boss is very friendly and would like to give out recommendations. They also have some desserts and they are SO GOOD you should definitely check that out! Beat Chinese food ever!!"
