"Came here today for a drink and a lunch. It is right on the beach so I sat with my feet in the sand listening to banda. I was the only one there but that's not unusual for this time of year. I'm so glad I stopped. I ordered a Mai Tai which is now my new favorite drink. It is made with light rum, dark rum, orange liqueur, almond syrup and sugar and sour mix. It was delicious! Then I ordered some lunch. I chose the Bang Bang Shirmp. It is crispy fried shrimp with a sweet and spicy sauce on it. It was also delicious. The breading probably wasn't my favorite but the shrimp was plump and flavorful and the sauce was the bomb! The serving was incredibly generous and I couldn't finish even half of it. It was 110 pesos. The drink was 70 pesos. Service was very good and the waiter spoke good English. The menu was in Spanish and English.They have an interesting menu including Hawaiian Pig, Jamaican Jerk Chicken, Marinated Octopus, Reggae Wrap, Cuban Sandwich, Braised Short Ribs. Beer is 20 pesos which is very reasonable as several places have risen their prices this year. It will be interesting to see how this place does once the season gets going. It's worth checking out. "La Concha is located inside El Cid Resort, however anyone can access this restaurant even if your staying at this hotel or not. It has a nice view to the beach and a cosy/romantic vibe at night. Waiters are friendly although the service has a lot of room for improvement. Food is good. I suggest the lobster, the main dish of this place. It is worth it. It is an expensive restaurant given Mazatlan's standards, but in my view is good value for your money. I would consider this spot for a special occasion with your couple (romantic dinner)."

"After discovering this little hole in the wall in the mercado last year we went back for a second time and was not disappointed. The prices are big and the food is cooked right before them so that they know it is fresh. the service is efficient, but the group at this stand could learn to smile a little as she saw very boring at the day we went there next year back to mazatlan, we will be back tony for the experience"

"This family cafe is hosted by the owners, Gaby and Carlos. It's new to the area and their menu is expanding, mostly through customer suggestions. There is no advertising ... just word of mouth. It's a covered open air building. My sister and I had breakfast here three times. We sat along the rail and watched the world go by. We exchanged pleasantries with people strolling along the avenue. We also spoke with other customers. It is a relaxing place to have either breakfast or lunch. Gaby does it all, taking your order, cooking it and delivering it to your table. Gaby is kept busy but takes time to speak with each of her customers. The American menu is typical, eggs, meat and potatoes. The two items I liked the most were the fresh squeezed orange juice and the breakfast bread. It's hard to describe, it's yeasty, a combination bun, roll and bread. She grills it over an open fire. I really like it. If you do not see Gaby, she's in the galley. If Johnny is sitting out side of his next door boutique he'll be glad to find Gaby for you. Johnny is a long time resident and has a wealth of information about the area."
