"Have both today a large tray of fish pie. Presented really nice but after taking it out of the oven felt really disappointed. Fish pie cost £11 . It was hard to find a piece of fish! Few pieces of garden peas That’s all! Would not go for it again. As I said very disappointing experience!!! "This was the reason for our short break, our intention was to take the coastal hike from whitstable to the restaurant, but the typical bloody British weather ruined this plan as it was poured with rain! So we arrived with the taxi. at least large local products served in such a relaxed casual atmosphere. a michelin star pub that is a restaurant, but still feels like a pub. eating was great, loved the presentation of the oysters, the lamb main and greengage soufflé were perfection!"

"We had lunch here today. The food was OK, but the lady working there seemed very stressed and didn’t seem to want to take our order. When I asked her a question, she waited a good half minute before giving a surly response. When we...wanted to pay contactless (due to Covid) she said ‘it’s only Haven’t you got cash?’ When we were told it would be a half hour wait, we didn’t mind at all, but she seemed annoyed this hadn’t put us off! The order was then ready in mins, so not sure what that was about? Slight attitude overhaul required I think. Because of this, I will not be returning."
