"Fantastic meal on Valentine's Day. beautiful touch with oysters offered free and a red rose. but eating was the star of the night. delicious mush in curry, cuconut sauce. good steak. bark dripping chips. what is not to like. service was excellent."

"That was my third time at shrimpwreck and I was not disappointed at any occasion! beautiful fresh fish boiled to perfection, crispy teig and delicate meat, in a beautiful soft bungalow with exactly the right amount of tartaric acid. that was half the point on our cycle and the fish sarnie was just the perfect size meal! I'm trying the lobster!"

"I had heard so many wonderful things about Chez Jules, so I thought it was about time that I check them out. I love the vibe inside so much, art work on the walls and dimmed lighting. It has such a cosy feeling inside. As soon as we were settled at our table, bread, olives, lettuce and salami was brought to our able which was a lovely touch. We all ended up ordering steak and I was pleased to find the service was really quick as I was one hungry lady. The rump steak was delicious and cooked exactly how I wanted it to be. I ended up getting some fries on the side which were pretty lovely too. After our mains, we ordered some coffee but I couldn't exactly not have a dessert. I ended up going for the crepe which was incredibly tasty but I did find it odd that I was given a spoon for it. The spoon was perfect for the ice cream (which was quite possible the tastiest ice cream) but made eating my crepe a little on the tricky side. Overall a great little find and I can see myself going back pretty soon!"

"Absolute favourite in Edinburgh. Visited as couple. Fantastic service, very knowledgeable and fun team. The food was super delicious and could eat there every day. Very fresh and tasty seafood. Oysters as fresh as you get them straight from a boat. The wine was good as well. Had the shallot mussels, one full pot, I couldn't finish. The sauce was amazing too. Everything just top! My partner had the shellfish pasta, it was perfectly cooked and the sauce really nice. Good portion. It's a simple restaurant but I guess you come there for the food. We had a table booked for Thursday night, but there seemed to be free tables as well for walk ins. Would come back again and again."
