"I often pop by the Belconnen markets on the way home at the end of the day, so the pastry selection is often rather limited, but nonetheless, still delightful. My last visit I got the salted caramel cupcake and lemon meringue tart which came to $11 together. I always like to get a classic flavour such as the lemon meringue tart because its always interesting to discover where the 'best lemon meringue tart' is in Canberra, or 'best croissants' are. The lemon meringue tart had the perfect amount of lemon, and the filling wasn't set so hard, it had the perfect lemon curd texture and creaminess, yet the tartness prevented it from being sickly sweet. I have to say these are the best I've had so far. The salted caramel cupcakes was also perfectly balanced, not too sweet with the salted caramel, but nothing super special that would make me buy it again. <br>

The staff are extremely wonderful and patient, especially with me when it comes to trying to pick just a few desserts to take home, rather than one of each :P

"My wife and I are big foodies, we especially love our breakfast and coffee.<br>

We went to Lonsdale Street Roasters (LSR) on Monday Morning (Public Holiday) You don't require a booking when dining at LSR. Being a public holiday it was quite busy, there was still plenty of tables indoors and the outdoor section at the back of the cafe, the front and main outdoor area were quite busy but we were able to get ourselves a seat out in the sun. The menus are located at the front of the restaurant near the cash register which means you have to squish past the people waiting to order (as it's an order at the register type dealio) and the people sitting at the tables to get a menu. The menu is quite exciting, there are a lot of selections that all sound as good as each other. <br>

The atmosphere- The front outdoor section of the cafe definitely had the most atmosphere and was the most inviting, the weather turned on the charm, that mixed with the rustic furniture making it hard for us to leave. The indoor section seemed a bit boring, there is not much in the way of decor and was extremely loud.<br>

Coffee- I ordered a Flat white and my wife, a latte. As to be expected from coffee roaster, the coffee was on on fleek. I love that they have a take away window at the front which is more convenient if you're just after a coffee but is also quicker for people dining in. Another plus is that you can purchase any of the beans if you did enjoy your brew.<br>

Brekkie 1- Eggs Benedict Cumberbatch, I got this with the Pork Belly because i'm a little oinker and pork belly is incredible. I believe there are some other options too (Bacon and Salmon). This was delicious, very appealing in appearance when it came out. The Poached eggs were perfectly cooked with a gooey yolk. The pork belly was as good as I imagined and it too was perfectly cooked. They came served on fresh corn bread with a really nice relish on the side. This was a really nice breakfast, I don't think that corn bread is the best choice for this dish, but overall was delicious.<br>

Brekkie 2- Quinoa and Avo, My wife ordered this as she wanted a nice fresh and healthy option. She was not disappointed, the Avocado was delectable, as was the bread and the Quinoa was very light. This dish was really tasty and the flavours worked really well together.<br>

Overall the food was delicious, the meals came out quickly. The coffee was great. The atmosphere was Booming. Very satisfied and would return."

"Finally got to go to Soul Cartel in The Hamlet in Braddon. I was eyeing the lobster po-boy but there seemed to be a wait for that. I tried the smoked chicken wings (passable) and the fried chicken sandwich. The sandwich had lettuce, mayo and fried chicken breast in a long bun. Filling and good value for money."
