"This was our first visit to this cafe since they reopened after lock-down and the only difference is that there are fewer tables in order to accommodate social distancing. It is still the best value for money cafe in the area, the service is excellent...and the quality of food is very good. We went for our usual sausage and bacon and egg and bacon baguettes with large mugs of strong tea and we weren't disappointed. The menu is extensive and ranges from full English Breakfasts to roast dinners and salads. We paid for the baguettes and tea and I've been to pubs where one baguette alone would cost you more than this. The decor and interior is basic but very clean and the tables were sanitised between customers. Highly recommended if you want an old fashioned cafe with excellent food and great service."

"I had the pork belly and although that was okay, the pork scratchings were inedible. Also, I had to ask for the accompanying green beans, which didn't arrive until I'd almost finished. They shouldn't have bothered, as there was only 6. The atmosphere is good and the pub is very dog friendly. If you want standard pub food, then this place will be right up your street. It is what it is."
