"What an absolute please was to eat something from the cheese cave. the owner is a really beautiful lady who really brings her heart and her soul into the food she sells, and this is what we talk about, soul food, food., just what they pick up. we decided to try a sample of some different choices, some cheesetoasties and the raclette. in the ground, because we could not only choose one to try because it all sound so wonderful. the toasties come in a lot of aroma combinations from opaque brie and cranberry to the lighter and finer pesto and spinach. so far, so good, but it is done with amazing gastronomy and love to detail. excellent quality ingredients over the board from the specially selected cheeses to the bakery, which offers the soured bread. it takes something secret and really raises it to great ways of living, they had no great things like this (very likely.) when they never get over a raclette, their chance is now to pamper themselves. mottled and roasted, wonderful French cheese, shattered over hot new potatoes. add them to a few beautiful tart pickles and it is spirited lovingly delicious. Remember the clever touches, like the pickles, which keep the court well balanced and prevent each of the dishes from getting stone or too rich. beware to cook! the portions are quite daring generous, so while they will only spend under a five for a toastia or simply over for raclette, it is worth definitiw. in fact, if they compare it with most high street offers for some lunch size, they would fight to find everything much cheaper, and even then they will not get this level of great food. my only side for the cheese cave. it is a pop-up that leads in lincoln only for the weeks to the silvester. Hopefully, this review with the cheese cave, as it rolls to new graze because more people need to enjoy the great food. I am also looking forward to the winter 2019 and hope that my favorite toastia pop-up will come back!"

"Floor by the side of the table was covered in food waste, didn't look like it had been cleaned from breakfast service. My starter and steak was delicious but partners meal had elements that weren't right. We were given free desserts as a compensation however I couldn't tell if the base was supposed to be pastry or biscuit as it was mush and there was a problem with partners dessert. The hotel have given us compensation as it was part of our wedding anniversary meal."

"Had breakfast with my daughter at Stokes for her birthday in September, it was so good we visited again today as we were at the top of Lincoln. The Lawn has great parking and good disabled access. The full English was tasty and filling, served hot by lovely, friendly and helpful staff. The coffee was perfect. The cake choice looked amazing too. Highly recommend Stokes at the Lawn for a relaxed friendly atmospheric breakfast."

"Booked here via email phone didn’t seem to work) because of the reviews and it was great. It’s small, bistro like with a very friendly atmosphere. Brought 2 bottles of own wine. 3 out of 4 drinking so charged corkage £7.50 total) for 3. This was fantastic value. The food was excellent and very filling could not manage a dessert. There is also outside seating which would be good as long as it doesn’t rain. Would definitely return if in Lincoln again."

"Now! what a hidden gem! words can not describe how tasty eating is here! there is no other caffe in lincoln like it! full taste, fresh ingredients and good portions! as a massive coffee fan I would say that coffee is probably the best I had! it is smooth and delicious! the personal, are well presented and courteous! they can say a popular caffe as when people come, they are welcomed how friends not only customers! this caffe has now become my favorite to go! so much so that I have been three times this week (whoops)! many thanks for the bribe something unique and delicious to lincoln :p :d"
