A real gem of a place on Steep Hill. Perfectly situated between the Bailgate and the town centre. The owners, Steph and Paul, are friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Seb who makes excellent coffee; I love the cappuccino and flat white here. Seb is also polite and interested in the customers and there is always a great atmosphere at The Rest. Went to order at the counter to be told its table service only. Waited 20 minutes before we asked about ordering. Waitress said she didn’t know we were waiting. Have ordered. Still waiting. View all feedback.
