"We happened here by chance and so glad we did. After our first meal, we returned twice more and plan to visit our next time to PEI. The food is fresh and delicious, made with local produce. Nice to know that there isn't even a fryer in the kitchen! It is a true family restaurant with caring owners."

"Never having been to New Glasgow before, or even Nova Scotia, it was always a bit hit and miss where would eat. But the West Side Bistro was everything we hoped it would be. The owners were delightful and interesting - and the food was excellent. Enjoyed every mouthful."

"Order the fish and chips you can't go wrong. Yummy two piece. My daughter had a hot sandwich also very good. We sat in and were quite comfortable. Owner very nice and waited on us personally. So inexpensive I gasped. They also offer take out."

"We stopped at new glascow because this city is the largest of the pictou County. We were a Monday and we wanted to have lunch in a restaurant in the city and not a chain of restaurants but, the restaurants that we were interested were closed on Monday. So we saw a subway and we could go eat our lunch in a park nearby. We will very rarely eat in fast service restaurants but, we must admit that their submarines are fresh and good. We ordered submarines in ham.We went to eat at carmichael park (carmichael park, street terrace, new glascow, b2h 5J6). Finally, a beautiful small park, a beautiful river and a pedestrian alley along the river was discovered by chance.New glascow: Highway 104. Exit 23. has this exit near the highway, there is a wall mart, a shopping center and several restaurants if you don't want to go to the city center."

"What a fantastic Irish Pub Restaurant! Stopped in for lunch on our drive out east earlier this month so glad we did... food is excellent easily one of the best seafood chowders we had during our whole vacation. Owners are lovely people, the service was amazing. Highly recommend!"

"Stopped in for cute little lunch which ended in an upset stomach. We were provided cutlery with food still on them. We mentioned something and they were promptly replaced. She then brought us our waters but my glass had something in it as well as lip prints from the previous drinker. I asked for a can instead as I figured I’d be safe that way. Food was okay, exactly what you’d expect for a small diner. Seated next to the front door which was kinda chilly given the season and quickly cooled the food we were eating. Likely won’t be back."

"This is a food truck offering burgers, fries, chili, fish n chips. It recently opened and is stationary. My co-workers and I ordered out lunch from there today. Six orders total. The burgers and fish were tasty. The fries were cold and didnt go over...well. This was due to a busy lunch time and a commute back to the office once all orders were finished of approximately minutes. Where this is a new set up, and the operator is finding his footing, I dont necessarily mind having this type of experience once. The food which was eaten was enjoyed thoroughly. The burgers are hand made patties probably close to lb. Cooked on a smooth top grill. The Kaiser buns were a nice touch, although I dont believe made in house. The fish was about average, nothing stood out either in a good way or a bad way. I would recommend this as a nice stop for a burger and fries if you intend on eating either in the car or close by. The prices are reasonable and the food is tasty."
