"Our tour guide recommended lunch here so we stopped by and sat down. I had a bottle of water that I set on the table while we waited for our server. She came over and picked up my water bottle and started to scold me for having it on the table. I didn't understand immediately what the issue was and she continued to berate me in French rather loudly in front of the other diners. I'm in my 50s and certainly didn't intend to offend in any way by putting my bottle on the table. I put it away and after several minutes my husband and I decided to leave and lunch elsewhere. On our way out she very loudly and sarcastically said Merci and Au Revoir followed by laughing at us. For a restaurant that I'm sure caters to many foreign tourists I would've expected a bit more grace if we didn't understand that putting our water on the table would be insulting to them. We ended up going to the next restaurant which was down a path in a courtyard, Les Ecuries. We had a delicious lunch and we were treated very well there."

"Ambiance très sympathique, joli décor et serveuse super efficace.Les galettes sont délicieuses, réalisées avec des produits locaux et bio pour la plupart. Attention aux spéciales qui sont très copieuses. La côte de boeuf est aussi délicieuse, bien coupée et parfaitement cuite accompagnée des ses frites maison, un régal !Si vous avez encore de la place laissez vous tenter par une crêpe sucrée elles sont parfaites ! Enfin au moment de l'addition un prix très raisonnable ce qui ne gâche rien."

"We just had time for a quick lunch when we spotted the Pizz-Grill down a small alley on our way from the Musée Airborne. It advertised itself as a Restauration Rapide. The outdoor menu listed a variety of pizzas and a few hamburger, Panini, frite, salad and glace options; so we went inside. The owner was friendly and his place was nicely decorated with WWII memorabilia, uniforms, flags and posters. We ordered a pizza marguerite, got a couple cans of Kronenbourg beer and headed for his small outdoor table area. From the alley was view of the Church of St Mere with its dummy replica of paratrooper John Steele hanging from a steeple. The pizza was OK for a fast food place, very thin crunchy crust with minimal sauce and toppings, maybe not my favorite variety of pizza, but it came in a very short time, was hot and that's what counted."

"A quick lunch during a tour through the normandie. the sandwiches were on a baguette and were excellent. the best part was the gloomy that the eclairs were perfect."
