"We stopped here to fill up and grab a quick dinner before heading out on the Cassier. The burger and fries were great but the experience left something to be desired. We asked for 3 cups of tap water with dinner and were given a story about how their well water was full of iron and customers didn’t like it. The cook/waiter offered us a small bottles of water for $2.50 each. It’s the Yukon, I get it that supplies are expensive. We said no thanks. We have water in the RV and would be back in it soon. During his meal my husband got a piece of food lodged in his throat. He could barely breathe but was breathing enough and able gasp that he needed water. I jumped up and ran to the drink cooler and got a bottle of water because we were the only ones in the dining area/kitchen/store. Thankfully he was able to drink the water and dislodge the food. During this time an employee came out and literally did nothing but stand there and gawk at him like it was a side show. We sat down and we were all shaken and my daughter finished her dinner. As we were paying the cook smugly gestured at the register and made a show of charging me for the water. Even made a comment about how we probably wished we hadn’t refused the bottled water. My husband wasn’t choking to death but was struggling to breathe and this guy makes fun of us. No one even asked if he was ok. I was totally shocked that they charged us for the water. Not sure on laws in the Yukon but in the US you cannot refuse tap water to anyone in your establishment. The fact that my husband choked wasn’t their fault but some compassion would have gone a long way. I think it just speaks to the character of the employees."
