"Very much enjoyed a bowl of home-made pumpkin soup and drinks here with my sister from overseas. Loved the old style settings, grecian reliefs etc. Food was reasonably priced. Service good. Amenities in very urgent need of sprucing up, dirty and dripping taps (for years by the look of it). Still all in all a pleasant find."

"My friend and I were at Katoomba for 2 nights. We decided to have a go at Pins because of great reviews. We weren't disappointed... instead of entrees and mains, we decided to do 6 entrees between us (it was a lot but we did good ;-)) We thought the zucchini flowers, scallops and lamb cutlets were terrific.. the other items pork loin, pumpkin soup and mushroom and onion bruschetta were also good.. one remark was that all the entrees came all at once not allowing us to enjoy the evening at a measured pace.."

"View is wonderful. decor is lovely. good service. mushroom risotto There was a mushroom soup for lunch which seemed a bit of a double up with the mushroom risotto as well. The risotto was pre-cooked and smothered in béarnaise sauce - awful. Please don't serve risotto if you are not going to cook it on the spot. I never mind waiting 20 minutes for a delicious risotto."

"Missed our order at the motel for breakfast so headed out early in the morning for a meal before a day out at Scenic World. We drove into Katoomba centre and found a free undercover park at Woollies. Just down a lane way and into the Main Street we found Vee's. Great friendly staff, absolutely fabulous coffee and a yummy cooked breakfast to die for. One of us (me) would have liked the front door shut, but nobody else seemed to agree!They sell their packaged coffee beans whole or ready ground. All roasted on the premises.Definitely having another breakfast there before we leave Katoomba. Yum-o."
