"Good quality food, the sausage rolls in particular are excellent. I like the range of products and the unusual cheese selection. Fresh bread available to order a couple of days a week. I visit every Sunday."

"Been here many times over the years to enjoy their home cooking and particularly their homemade steak pies. This seems to have now stopped and been replaced with a tasteless shop bought tin foil pie and smaller portions. Such a shame. From a wonderful place to come and eat, to a standard pub meal, probably won't be back."

"We were a group of 10 friends who decided to dinate in la rustique while in a nearby lodge. our decision was based on the price indicated in the menu and a break from going with the usual Chinese Indian italians that we normally set for. slightly set back from the street, it offers a quite normal layout. the entrance is a covered courtyard with a large parisian wall painting on the wall and a series of tables for diners. we sat upstairs, which was well presented and well designed. we had all preordered our courses and were pleasantly surprised that nothing was missed when it was served. the eating itself was amazingly good and the £20 strange pfund that we paid for the set menu was incredibly excellent. I myself had the Calamari star, the seabass main, and dessert the banana crepe. all served hot and the taste was excellent. everyone was really happy with every aspekt of the evening."
