"This is a wonderful place to have lunch or just a beer after a hike. The terrace is very nice and one has an amazing view. It's particularly attractive for families as there is an amazing playground right next to the terrace. We were able to relax while our very active boys played for hours. A dream!!The only negative is the staff. We were served promptly etc but the staff is just not friendly or welcoming in any way. This is really too bad as one would expect folks to be happy while working in such a beautiful place. Also, it would have been lovely to have some music playing in the background:)"

"We went regularly to the Eiger but stopped doing that. We got angry after some people were allowed to take their drinks outside on the terrace and we were not. Even though the weather was good and warm they did not want to serve people on the terrace. Nice spot to sit and watch the trains but don't expect too much. Can also take long till you can pay."

"If you want something else and would like Italian food, this is the place. The food is really good, the best pizza's in town. When you're more interested in pasta, thats fine. They have a nice Gnocchi Prosciutto Funghi (ham and mushrooms) and good spaghetti's."

"We enjoyed our two meals at this restaurant — one lunch and one dinner — but we didn’t find the place to be overly special or memorable. Lunch was outside, which was quite nice; dinner was inside, which was a bit loud and cramped. The food tasted good, the service was ok, and the prices were what we’ve come to expect in Switzerland."

"We had the surprise dinner and have to say the quality of the food alone is worth the five stars.It was truly an added bonus that when the bill arrived we had to very carefully check that all items were included as we were sure they had left something off.My only criticism would be that there was too much food served. We had asked for the three course meal, yet four savory courses were served and we had to stop before we even got to desert. This and also that there are no matching wine selection - this makes choosing wine difficult if you do not know what dish you will be eating (hence "surprise"). But these are small issues negated by the quality of food and price.We will definitely visit again."

"We were a party of 11 - and were quickly and swiftly accomodated. The children could play in the playground next to the restaurant. The food was great and simple, the service outstanding. We arrived late and they didn't bat an eye. And what an incredible view!! We would happily visit agiain."
