"My favorite Toronto diner and a must stop when I am in the cities east end Leslieville area. Mom and pop will always be the only ones in the kitchen and daughter Eda wins best server in the city. "I work in the neighborhood so I decided to give it a try, the bagel, where somehow on harder side even after the toasting .staff need some training as to make the Lox Sandwich. She stacked all the salmon in the middle of the bagel. Of course, if you try to eat everything falls out of creating a mess."

"Quiet, wonderful service, scrumptious breakfast and good company. Early mornings are made for this. Love to eat here again and again. Great Coffee, great scrambled eggs and bacon and soft pancakes along with a large selection of fresh fruits. All this with great smiling service. What are you waiting for?"

"The smoked meat and deli meats are absolutely delicious. Moist, tender and not salty. Rye bread has great taste and texture, with plentiful amount of meat in the sandwich. Fast service in a simple expansive dining area. Can't wait for next visit."

"This place is at most, a minute walk from my front door, I walk past it daily and skirt the line ups, especially for weekend breakfasts. Finally went for lunch. They spared expense on the décor, that's for sure, not much better than the previous greasy spoon that occupied this spot. It's really a tiny place, no atmosphere but I don't think they were going for atmosphere, and that's OK. Short menu, interesting, but nothing that I just had to have. My companion had the fried chicken dinner, I had the fried chicken sandwich. Both were served with very good fries but the chicken itself, a big disappointment. Also, I wish places would pay more attention to the bun they serve their burgers etc. on. This was really dry and supermarket variety. For the price, totally unacceptable. Pleasant server and the guy at the grill was friendly, too. Only two other diners on a mid week lunchtime. I don't think I'll go back, even though it's so close by and could easily be my go to spot. Prices are quite high for just average greasy spoon food. Can't figure out why the line ups. Not worth lining up for. Not at all."

"Again don't like to review places in my hometown as I'd rather visit and review something out of town, but in this case another exception. A small deli located on Kingston Rd. that prepares its own meat, cuts their own fries and truly makes everything homemade. Had the Pastrami Sandwich and have to say this little place is going to give some of Toronto's "legendary deli's" a run for their money (Pancers, Caplaskys, Katz) The meat was succulent, perfect seasoning and melted in your mouth. The home cut fries were plentiful, cooked perfectly and the homemade slaw was delicious. Absolutely going to make this deli a regular stop as you should too."
