"Discovered this wonderful resturant just as the new owners took over in March this year. First visit was for great coffee breakfast on the way to work. Then went back for tea with friends to enjoy a generous lamb shank matched with a yummy red wine finished off with the best sticky date pudding. My last visit was to catch up with friends had the chicken caesar salad delicious! Friendly staff, cosy areas sit including comfy chairs in front of an open fire. Can't wait for isolation to finish so we can go back."

"9/7/2022 I decided to check out the new food truck in Lara on my way to the football and very happy that I did. The fried chicken was a tasty, flavoursome and crunchy vessel for the gravy that we all know and love!! Serving size was very generous and I finished the meal with a smile from ear to ear. The only problem with the food truck is that it isn't parked in my front yard!!!! Love your work : 3 years ago Chick'n Ranch has never let me down. It is the place where dreams come true. You will not find a better place in Geelong for chips and gravy."

"Part of Geelong's hipster led revival, The Workers Club dishes up American style bbq that ticks all the boxes if you're after something hearty, unfussy and delicious. Located in an pub/live music venue we stumbled in here early one Saturday looking for a quick bite before heading to the theatre. The friendly waiter took us through the menu of American bbq favourites and we followed his recommendation of the smokehouse for 2 sharing platter that consisted of two chef choices of meat, two of our choices, coleslaw, pickles, chips and dinner roles. We doubled up on the chef's choice of jerk chicken and also enjoyed brisket and lamb ribs. Its a big portion and could easily serve three people. Everything was finger lickin good - the slightly pickled slaw cuts through the smokey marinated meat, which was tender and tasty. My favourite was the brisket, which just melted in the mouth and was especially good when accompanied by the bourbon flavoured spicy sauce that was part of a selection of condiments at the table. The chips were very good too - although I must say the dinner roll seemed a bit redundant given what was on offer. Next time I might build my own meal so I can try the chicken wings or the sausage accompanied by sides such as the bean and corn salad, potato salad, corn on the cob,and macaroni and cheese bites (?). There is also the intriguingly named Armadillo egg - a whole jalapeno stuffed with two cheeses and then wrapped in sausage meat. You might need to go for a jog after that one."

"That was a venue for a party. a deposit that was told me was refunded when 50 people came. more than 50 came and I went to get the deposit back and they fought me that 65 had not come. after a long battle I have them back. but I would not recommend buying food, it was $700 for about 10 teller appetitzüglers who sold for $10 per. 3 garlic bread, 2 teller buffalo wings, 1 teller dumplings and 4 bowl chips, and that was it. I was also promised to a dj who never showed, and the music they played stopped and it would be over half an hour to a time without music. the place was very pretty, but that was all I can say. well overpriced eating and no music....read more"
