"We went here for a birthday celebration and unfortunately it was mediocre and not worth the prices. The food was served warm but not hot and the temperature was wrong on the filets with them being over cooked. One person ordered the ribeye and it had more fat that meat. Of all the food we ate in our party the best things were the bread and butter and the grits which says alot. The food was ok but the steaks especially were dissapointing for the price point especially when compared to other area restaurants. The two martinis I had were delicious. I ordered cheesecake for dessert to go and I was very surprised to see that it appeared to be two layers but the top layer was almost an inch of plain cream cheese which was very strange and disappointing. The service was slow and it took a very long time to get our checks correct and paid. I personally can not recommend this restaurant. My meal cost over $100 but the food and service would have been better at Outback or any other lower cost alternative. The ambiance was nice and we had a private room but it did not make up for the food at all. Not a single person in our party said they would come back or recommend to others. Edited review just add the picture I had of that sad excuse of a cheesecake."

"I had meat hand pies which were excellent and my wife had a chicken pot Pie which she loved. We both had the chocolate and pecan pie dessert which was to die for. My son has the coconut cream pie which he devoured so I think he loved it . I wish we had been recommended this place at the beginning of the holiday not the end!!! A definite must to visit if you are in Baton Rouge. "Someone from the area recommend this spot and I'm glad I stopped in during my recent visit to Baton Rouge. We came on Saturday evening and there were a lot of people, but fortunately only 2 of us and we were seated immediately. Great service and delicious food. I ordered several items and was pleased with all of my choices. The catfish po boy was good despite not having as much fish on the sandwich. Still 5 stars in my opinion."

"The meatball quesadilla was very delicious seasoned very well paired good with the tomatoe based sauce with green scallions on top perfect the carbroil oysters were the best I had so far not salty piping hot temp with the right amount of season and cheese paired well with the French bread to mop up the sauce perfect"

"My daughter chose Stroubes for her 24th birthday dinner with the family We had a party of 10. The food and service were excellent! Most of us got the redfish and some got the ribeye with side of crawfish macaroni. Everyone raved about their dish. Oh, and another rave for the great bread that is served before the meal. Then waiter brought out awesome bread pudding for birthday girl and even found a candle to put in it so that we could sing Happy Birthday and take picture. Thanks for making it a wonderful experience for her (and us too)! We will be back!"

"Wow. Now this place is just great. I was told by my lady that I would love it. So we booked a table for my son's 21st birthday. Was not let down in the slightest. It's very pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. The meat just keeps coming and coming until you just can't eat no more. I was the designated driver so I let the rest of the party just have at it. Everyone had a great time and ate their fill. It's a place I would definitely recommend and will most certainly be returning to."
