"Whenever I go to or come from Tampa I stop for lunch at Yoder's Restaurant. The food they serve is finger licking, especially their fruit pies. Although there are usually long lines to enter, the service is so efficient that the wait is not that long. Besides, it's worth while."

"A Sarasota must. I am so glad that we came here in our first night of the holiday – this place was bumpy and not disappointed! Do not be discouraged from the long waiting period: There is such a sweet outdoor terrace with freshly grilled seafood and a bar menu to serve you while enjoying the weather and listening live music! The food (on all 3 of the menus offered) was excellent and fresh. The servers were all super helpful with order and friendly too! Enjoyed my time starting here and would recommend everyone."

"My family and I just had a contaminated meal at Pride of the South BBQ! Some of the most delicate brisket, pulled pork, chicken and ribs we've ever eaten. The bark on the brisket was perfect and all sides were on the money!! This is a must in the Sarasota region!! Pride definitely goes into the food they serve and the guys come to the table and talk to you how long lost family! Can't recommend this place enough!! God bless and keep doing what you do!!"

"Friday evening while driving out to an errand, I noticed a bright display on the grounds of Vida de Reino RCA West Coast Church of the Cross. My Foodie Spider sense told me to check it out. On the way home I stopped to investigate and was rewarded by landing at Cheo’s Latin Kitchen.First impression is very good. The trailer is well appointed and well decorated. The dining area is four picnic tables with umbrellas below a few strings of outdoor lights. The lights offer a warm glowing light, a wonderful touch to make the dining area inviting.The menu offers a good array of choices and is well presented on a tv screen outside the trailer.Rather than choose for myself I asked the “Hit Me with Your Best Shot” dining question, If I was to have only one thing you offer, what would it be?Without hesitation the gentleman responded, “Arepas” and asked my choice of meat.I chose beef and added two Venezuelan Flan to the order.In a very few minutes my order was ready and I on my way home. The Arepas is a sandwich with what would be the bun made from corn meal. Light and fluffy with just enough granularity to reveal its cornmeal origins, lightly toasted then filled with shredded beef, pico, salsa, Cheo sauce* and a light shredded cheese. An excellent presentation and great textures and flavor. Prepare to have your hands messy while eating this. The sauce and pico make for a juicy meal and one worth the several napkins you will use.Flan….Flan is like chocolate chip cookies and pecan pie, the worst one you have ever had was still damn good. Cheo’s Venezuelan flan is no exception. Great vanilla aroma when you open the to go box and a firm, sweet custard on the spoon. Excellent!Cheo’s is a food stop worth making. I know I will be back."
