"The tuna sandwich is the best! It's also good that you can have all the vegetables in one sandwich. ???? On the other hand, the place in Glorietta is too small. You need to have someone with you to take a seat while you make your sandwich choices. Lol."

"Recently visited their Kapitolyo office.

Chicken curry with flatbread was pretty good. Beef kebab with shirazi salad was good too.

Vegetable samosa with mango chutney was ok. Would have preferred the sweet and sour tamarind chutney to the sweet mango chutney"

"Craving for meat on a Saturday brought me to this place. I like how the place, even though it's inside the mall, makes me feel like I'm not. The place is dim and feels very private.

We ordered the Brisket by the pound, good for 2-3 people. It is a fairly large serving, for 1295php, it's worth it. They carved the meat right in front of you. The meat is very tender, a simple tug using the fork is enough, no need for knives. Their specialty sauce is perfect. And if you start getting full from all the meat, wash it down with their refillable Peach Lychee iced tea or balance it out with their sides like red ginger, pickled cucumbers and cabbage. Everything compliments each other perfectly.

Will come back to try their other dishes."

"This one was recommended by a friend. She said it's at par with Ooma. It's not. We tried two sushi rolls and both were just okay. They satisfied my craving for maki but if I were to pay around for rolls again, I'd go for Ooma or Omakase instead. To be fair, it was filling and tasty. Whay I don't like about Hoka though is how it's overpriced."

"Starting my day right with a hearty breakfast at Subspace Coffee House!☀️ I've been meaning to try this place for the longest time. The first and last attempt was an epic fail as I wasn't aware they are closed every Sunday. That was four years ago. Fast forward to present, there was a sense of accomplishment as I entered their glass door.

The place is a definition of eclectic. The cool chairs hanging on the ceiling with industrial bulbs adorned by dangling paper ornaments form a chandelier. Each table and chair is different from one another. Decors varied from a paper stormtrooper to an antelope's head mask mounted on the wall. The interiors are a chaotic creativity that makes sense and I love every bit of it!

I got their double smoked Bacon Slab (P200) with creamy mustard sauce, rice and tomato salsa on the side. Lean, tender and rich meaty flavor! I ordered an extra sunny side up egg for P20 pesos to enjoy it more.

I also had their infamous purple... read more"

"Thai food isn't really a favorite of mine, but I did like what we had at Nav. Aside from the relaxing ambience, the staff is quite accommodating. However, the portions were a bit small and didn't seem proportional to the prices.

PICKS: Naked Pandan Chicken. ✧"

"Harmony is an essence in Japanese cuisine, it's not about stand out flavors but the right balance between the elements of the dish to create a great dining experience. In Megamall’s Fashion Hall standing out amidst some of the most popular restaurant concepts in the City is also quite the balancing act. This leads us to Rosanjin a restaurant serving premium Japanese Fare, from its inconspicuous signage, it doesn’t look particularly striking or flashy from the outset compared to the other restaurants nearby. Their interiors looks particularly familiar like other family friendly Japanese restaurants with a strong warm and cozy atmosphere. However, a restaurant is not just about interiors, the food is where its really at and for lunch we we’re treated to an extravagant feast of some of the best Japanese food in Manila.

Unlike other japanese restaurants, Rosanjin sets itself apart by allowing diners to cook their dishes on the tables in a Tobanyaki, a traditional ceramic cooking plate which can cook delicate meat and seafood evenly without the hashly

↝↝Wagyu (BIG): For Php 1600 you can get a generous plate of sliced A4 wagyu, just a few notches below the prime, so this is a good as it gets in the Philippines. I often feel anxious whenever i’m tasked to cooked such delicate premium meats because it could go wrong real quick but thanks to their toban yaki plate, the meat was cooked with the care that it deserved. As expected, the beef was exceptionally tender thanks to the rich marbling of the meat and even without marination or extra seasoning the rich beefy flavor still came through. What really sets it apart from other varieties of beef is that unique aftertaste which was like a strong concentrated beef flavor.

Take it to another level by dipping it in the trio of sauces offered with each meat plate, I recommend their hot sauce which was quite deep and flavorful and had just the right amount of heat.

↝Let’s move on their Australian Striploin, which goest for 500php per serving.. Unlike the Wagyu which was rich and delicate, this had a stronger spiced marinade quite like those the marinated beef in KBBQ restaurants yet the meat was thicker, juicier, and had its unique Barbecue flavor. If you are a craving for good, juicy beef yet you don't want to hurt your pocket to then this is perfect for you

↝The last beef dish was the US Angus Short Ribs for 800php a serving, quite light compared to the strip loin but not as delicate as the wagyu this dish still packed a punch. Perfect if cooked medium near well done, this beef had a nice strong meaty flavor with a musky aftertaste. I liked this dish because it was also midway between the premium wagyu and the affordable striploin yet you could really taste the unique premium taste of good imported beef.

Although each beef dishes was cooked the same way, they all brought something different to the table and it was quite delightful and fascinating to compare and contrast some of the best beef from all over the world.

↝↝Seafood Platter: For 1000php you get a platter containing huge stuffed jumbo shrimps, whole scallops and some slices of salmon, its steamed it its own juices in quite a huge toban yaki plate,. I was able to try the scallop and the shrimp and while i was eating i couldn’t even find the words to describe how great this dish was but i'll give it a try. First of is the scallops which were not trimmed unlike the traditional preparation which only serves the medallion of white meat in the middle. This payed off and allowed me to appreciate the different textures of the scallop meat, the outer layer was soft and delicate and had a strong “ocean” flavor while the meat in the middle was cooked perfectly allowing it to retain it meaty texture without being chewy. This was like magic and tears were about to form in my eyes with every bite of their scallop. The shrimp was flavorful as well, you would expect jumbo shrimp to be quite bland but this shrimp was soft, buttery, and had just the right amount of seasoning.

↝Shrimp Tempura; For Php 600 you can get a huge platter of jumbo prawn tempura deep fried to perfection. Their tempura was a pleasure to eat because it the shrimp was absolutely tender and was seasoned just right to elevate the sweet fishy taste of the shrimp. Its so good that you don't even have to dip it in sauce for additional flavor and goes perfect with their Chahan or Fried Rice.

↝↝Chahan (Seafood Fried Rice). Their seafood fried rice was another smash hit among me and my fellow diners. The rice was mixed with a variety of other components notably salmon flakes, shrimp,. Each grain of rice was coated with flavor that i could only describe as truly u m a m i, not one element in the dish stood out yet they all came together in one rich yet simple dish. For 250Php this is more than enough for 3 people and is perfect eaten with their tempura or with their beef or also good enough to be eaten alone. This dish enough reason for me to visit this restaurant again. Simply amazing!

↝Oshi Sushi (Sushi Cake):I also had a bite of their Sushi Cake, which i heard was the brainchild of their Head Chef. No, its not dessert but sort of like Sushi transformed into a sandwich using the same ingredients. Although i liked this dish because it tasted fresh, it was quite messy to eat because it fell apart quickly.

Beverages

↝↝Strawberry Shake: Strawberry has always been my go-to choice when i comes to shakes and smoothies and Rosanjin’s Strawberry Shake sure didn't disappoint. Their strawberry shake tasted like fresh, ripe berries added with just the right amount of sweetness. The light but refreshing taste of this drink paired perfectly with the savory dishes that we had.

Overall, my lunch at Rosanjin was probably one of the best meals i’ve had this year. I loved the simple, approach to Japanese food yet through the preparation and the ingredients they were able to elevate these dishes to a level that would be difficult for other restaurants to compare. My only recommendation is maybe they could improve their interiors and add more striking visual elements in order to attract the style savvy people in Mega Fashion Hall. Nonetheless, the service was top notch and the food was spectacular!

Food: 5

Ambiance: 3.5
Service:4"
