"One of the first restaurants I tried in the city. Steak tacos was good with the fresh toppings. The shrimp was also fresh for the tacos too. Also had free chips and salsa. Had a coupon for a free drink so I had a pina colda and it was loaded with flavor and of course I took a few shots of tequila. Service is among amazing and their just wanting you to enjoy your time. Had a nice view over looking the beach. Clean restaurant and it wasn’t too busy for lunch. Good place to try if your tired of eating the resort food 3 times a day and prices wasn’t too bad."

"We ordered the mixed seafood. The menu said it was good for 2 people but when the food arrived, I was shocked by the amount of food, probably good for four. We had a full fried fish (grouper, I think), two lobster tails, shrimps, grilled octopus, clams, and a myriad of vegetables, even grilled cactus. Overall, the food was very good, we needed help from our kids to finish all the food! We were also serenaded by a mariachi band!"

City: Cancún, Isla Blanca, Cancun, Mexico, Cancún
"We took a day trip from Isla Mujeres and stopped at El Meco ruins and then went to Pirata Morgan's. This was a great day and we had a fabulous time at this place. If you consider going make sure to first contact Erika at PMorgan ([email protected]) and let her know you are coming and have her verify the combi times to get there. The day we went we took the ferry to Puerto Juarez and then there are combis that run to El Meco and on to Punta Sam. We stopped at El Meco and then got back on a combi and went to Punta Sam. If we hadn't stopped at El Meco and/or had we planned better we could have gotten our day started earlier and taken a combi all the way to Isla Blanca for 25 pesos/person which when we went ran at 7, 11 and 4:30. However we didn't and ended up having to take a cab from Punta Sam to PMorgan. Erika had told us not to pay more than 80 pesos for a cab but no cab drivers wanted to go that far for that price. Their starting price was 200 pesos which we weren't going to pay. Finally I think one of them felt sorry for us and offered to take us and we settled on 100 pesos. It was about a 15 minute drive from Punta Sam to PMorgan. Most of it was on a new highway until we were about 5 mins. out and then it was basically just a dirt road thru the underbrush. We got to PMorgan and found Erika who was the most gracious host. This place has about 10 camping huts for $50/night and they are very rustic...a place for your sleeping bag, a bathroom and a small shower all of it screened it with a hammock on the front patio. There is a small restaurant where they make everything, some palapas with tables for dining/sitting and a bathroom and outside shower. The menu wasn't extensive but there were plenty of choices available. They also told us about some fresh crab claws and lobster they had caught that day (not on the menu) that were available for lunch. Wow!! We ended up getting some appetizer things...some fried fish and these 2 huge empanadas (one with grilled octopus and one with grilled fish) and they were fantastic! Do keep in mind the service on the food wasn't super-fast but so what. Why be in "fast-mode" when you are at such a beautiful place! The scenery was gorgeous and we were about the only people there that day (we went on a week day). There were a couple of families but that was about it. White, empty beaches as far as the eye can see. You can also see Isla Mujeres across the water and PMorgan pretty much lines up with the sloping part of the Avalon. That was directly across from us. Just an fyi for locational purposes. One of the guys there told us that this isn't a 5 star hotel, but rather a million star hotel. He said at night the sky is unbelievable. We spent until 4:30 at PMorgan and then caught the combi at 4:30 that runs from Isla Blanca to Puerto Juarez for 25 pesos/person. The combis don't really have specific spots they stop so we always made sure to let the driver know where we were going each time we got on one. We got off at Punta Sam and caught the car ferry (38 pesos/person) at 5:30 back to Isla Mujeres. We enjoyed doing that as we had never taken that ferry before. It goes a little slower and took about 35-40 minutes but it was an enjoyable trip back. If you take the car ferry, check the schedule ahead as it doesn't run the same as the P.Juarez ferry. All in all this was a great day trip and we loved the isolated beauty of this place. It is a definite must return for us on our next trip!"
