"We visited Figueira da Foz as the weather where we were staying was dull. We wanted to try fish as the town was near the sea, our waiter explained what was on the menu and didn't know the name of one fish. We decided to...try it, and did not regret our decision. The bread and olives with the homemade tuna spread were delicious. The fish came with salad and boiled potatoes and was grilled. We both thoroughly enjoyed it and cleared our plates, we found out afterwards it was black swordfish. On checking this is scabbard fish and if we had seen it before it was cooked we might have steered away as it is a bit frightening and a little like an eel. It was delicious, and we both were glad of our choice, few bones and easy to eat. A fresh fruit salad completed our meal. Would thoroughly recommend the restaurant as the service was friendly and the view of the sea beautiful."
