"The vegan cake selection is open pale for my pleasure. they also added an automatic satisfaction on the bill, which I thought terribly cheeky. Apart from that, the cake I did was functionally good and the staff was nice enough, and the place is easy to find even though it is a fair, little vegan friend place. that is strange to say, but the place has a kind of oppressive atmosphere, because it does not come daylight and the music is a hauch loud; it reminds me of drinking underwater. I wonder if they went to the same place I went to. mileage may vary, I suppose."

"The summer holidays lets me take a break from the day job and spend a bit of time with the family, try some food and write the odd piece. This was the case this week when Red (the wife), Fidget (the eldest) and I popped into Liverpool to do some shopping, followed by the promise of lunch. So after several hours of that bloke thing of standing awkwardly in clothing aisles, trying to not look at the ladies unmentionable sections, wondering why there are no seats anywhere, I even had a look at some clothes, only to wonder why everything is slim fit? I, like many, fit into the ‘well built’ category and, as the country goes through an obesity epidemic, who exactly buys the skinny fit clothes? Where is chunky monkey fit? Dough Boy fit? Rather than the honed ripples of a muscular cheese grater, I end up looking like a piping bag that has been over-squeezed!"

"At first we were unsure about the restaurant the place was packed with customers calling in before a concert in town but they found us a table and I must say the service was very prompt. They asked if we were going to the show but we said we were not and so not in a rush but they still dealt with us very quickly. We both had Haddock and fries and there were no complaints about the fish but why do these places insist on stuffing your plate with fries which most people leave. It seems odd to complain about the portions being to big and its not really a complaint. As I said the fish was wonderful and all in all it was a very pleasant experience with excellent service."
