"Not from Indiana. When we walked in we asked if we seat ourselves, a waitress said yes. When we went to a booth in the front part, it was then stated it has to be in the family room because we had a child with us. Seclusion is ridiculous. They can not say it is because of alcohol as it is also served in the family room, not due to smoking as no restaurant is smoking and it can't be due to watching sports only in the NON family area as there is TV's also in the Family room. So what is the reason for secluding Famlies"

"Best ice cream EVER!!! My job as a latex salesman has me on the street up to 45 weeks a year. It'll be lonely out there, but I'll find Solace in ice. Enjoy telling it I have crushed a lot of ice over the years, so I speak out of experience (and have the waist to prove it! The Big Dip, a rustic, family owner and running ice stand at the 216 North Main Street in North Syracuse, is my all-time favorite and checks every box. Let's get the simple stuff first... Immaculately clean? Friendly staff? Fair prices? Rich portions? Lots of parking? Family-friendly picnic tables and a grass area safely away from the street? Great music at the right volume and a fun environment? Check, check, check, check, check, check. How about selection and specials? I calmed down in my first visit with a simple banana malt, the ice equivalent of a pitch wedge of 135 yards to the center of the green. And Christie, the manager and the face of the place, left the 30 feet for Birdie. The soft serving vanilla ice cream base was smooth and creamy, without hints on ice crystals, gritty texture or roughness. Inferior ice cream cut corners, increase volume through additional air into the mixture, a process called "overrun". The vanilla base of Big Dip was dense and consistent. If you get that right, the rest is a tip. The combination of Carnation Malted Milk Powder with fresh, ripe bananas was right at the point to an intermediate afternoon refreshment break on a Chiquita Safari in the rainforest of East Europeans. It was delicious and I was beaten. After three afternoon sales talks, a 20-minute in-car nip on a Wegman's car park and dinner at the Theke of Heid's (two Hofmann Franks, two Coneys, an order of fried Pickles a Diet Dr. Pepper, I was ready for around two at The Big Dip. It was just after the dawn when I arrived and took my place in the queue. A feeling of anticipatory joy was noticeable under the growing line of the cartridges. Until now, a second window had opened so that the line moved quickly. Sisters Jacquie and Alli were stationed at windows #1 #2, smiling and spending frozen treats faster than $6 White Claws at the New York State Fair, all under the watchful look of Peter “See You at The Clipper” P. But I digress. I decided to go and ordered the chocolate Peanut butter overload Sundae and a milk-free Dole Whip for after, especially to settle my stomach. The overload, the ice equivalent of a 225 yard carry to a 20 meter wide landing area, in the wind and over water, was absolutely delightful, composed on a basis of high butterfly content Hersheys ice. Anyone who loves the combination of chocolate and peanut butter should make a bee line to The Big Dip to try this piece of resistance. It showed superior mouthfeel and the panoply of pure flavors licked comfortably on the palate. I never had to taste the Dole Whip; was absolutely filled. Instead, I shared it with a new friend I later made at the bar at the Americas Best Value Inn on Collamer Road, and he/she/she/she shaved over it and sucked it into two deep gulps. What else can I say? I was in Plank Road Ice Cream, right on the street. I just don't remember when and what I had (what everything says). Effee's Frozen Treats is a great stop if you happen to be in Warrenton, Virginia. Sure, you could go to Dairy Queen and order a Brownie Batter Blizzard if you take a Mulligan per page and give yourself down four feet slider. Or you can play from the butt and visit The Big Dip, for an unbeatable combination of taste, quality, freshness and value."

"Brought my grandsons from NC to see their dad and decided to go to the mall. My son knows I love this place (I go every time I come up so he treated me. WORST FOOD I EVER HAD THERE. (We always try the food before goving to the boys ages 2 3 Got tenders and juice for the boys. I had my drink : and instead of a kids meal she brought an adult meal. The fries were hardly warm and definitely not fresh. The tenders were a little warmer but not hot. You could tell they had been setting. Definitely will rethink going back there in the future!!!"
