"This restaurant was full of a friendly staff, everyone I spoke to radiated such sweet energy and it made me super comfortable immediately. This was my first time having Mediterranean food, and the food was delicious. I had the roasted duck with shrimp hummus, and was super super impressed. We sat at the bar, and had Ian as our waiter/bartender. He was super informative, friendly, and just a pleasure to talk to. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone I know visiting New Orleans."

"You know, its hard to find food that is healthy, cheap AND fast. Pita pit has managed this, with vegetarian wraps for less than $7 in New Orleans. I got the spicy black bean, which was delicious. Highly recommend, and they deliver too!"

"Fantastic lunch for husband I and my parents, after spending hours at WW2 museum a few blocks away. Wood-fire oysters were the highlight. And the rabbit. And pork ribs. And....."

"My meal here was so delicious! Everything was sooo tasteful and packed with spices, and tasted very fresh, a welcome branch from the usual New Orleans tariff. Our server was very knowledgeable and pointed to any vegan option in the menu (and there was a lot). Although prices are somewhat steep, everything is divided so if you order correctly, it is not so bad. The hummus with grilled eggplant and fresh pita was delicious. The Shakshouka without fried egg was also amazing. Be careful! The baba ganoush has acid cream! So sad! The place is clean and cute and it is located on the magazine street that is really fun to go around! Definitely worth a visit!"

"Decided to stop here for lunch after my tour of the Jazz museum. I had the garlic shrimp pasta, I didn't like it. Pasta lacked flavor the sauce it came with needed some spices. As for the shrimp they were better tasting than the pasta. My sister had a cheese pizza it was good wished I ordered that instead"

"Recently found out about SOLA while at my nephews winter festival. Wonder people! I purchased the ginger and chili pepper oil and I could just eat it all with bread! It is so delicious! Also picked up an oil sampler and a bunch of the small packs of seasoning for a co-workers gift. Beautifully wrapped and they are the perfect gift! Cannot wait to get more items for myself."

"I just saw the response to my original post and I have to say I was really impressed by it. The response feels genuine like I said before I know how hard it can be to be constantly cheerful for the public. We’ll be back and I’m changing my rating to five starts. I really appreciate the apology and the response. Original Post: We've been going here for years and years. The staff changes constantly so service has always been so so (although if you are lucky enough to catch Ziggy, an owner, he's amazing). I come from a restaurant family, and I'm well aware of how difficult it is to deal with the public and so I don't usually get offended by a salty attitude. This morning I was bringing my girls to school and we stopped in they got their usual, a cinnamon roll for one and a jalapeño sausage croissant for the other. We stepped outside to eat: they usually warm the croissant, but this morning it wasn't warmed. I told my daughter to go back inside and ask them to warm it (I believe that it's Ziggy's bro in law working the counter) she was nervous and I told her it would be fine, they weren’t busy and to go ahead. Well no she got a lecture about how she was supposed to ask when it was ordered, that he usually won't heat the food if you ask after it's ordered. After the lecture he did warm it, but she was mortified. She’s 13, very soft spoken and very polite. I don't understand this but I don't need to. There are plenty of other bakeries we can give our money to, so no worries Patisserie you won’t have to warm our pastries anymore."
