"A really fantastic 'anniversary ' meal. Took a punt selecting somewhere to eat from Trip Advisor. We wanted something relaxed with great food and found it at Whistlers. Staff we 're very friendly and accommodating finding us a candle lit table for 2 at short notice. Food was fresh and tasty, didn 't take long to arrive and staff we 're attentive to our needs. All in all a lovely evening topped off with a 'Billy Wizz ' cocktail! :"

"A fabulous Sunday lunch at the Elm Tree with a friend. Nothing was too much trouble for this friendly team of staff. We prebooked as we know this venue is popular and arrived at our reserved table to find a table decoration which showed attention to detail. The roast lunch was second to none. There were two choices of meats and choices about whether meat was served well done or rare. The potatoes were crispy and there was a range of fresh vegetables. We followed this course with a scrumptious eton mess, made with tasty meringue and lemon. Can thoroughly recommend! Whats not to like? We wiill be back!"

"Ordered online, put in post code for delivery and paid. It said could take up to 90 mins. 90 mins after ordering and no food, I called to see where it was. I was told they don't deliver to my area and it wasn't coming (despite the fact they have delivered to me many times before postcode was fine when ordering and I paid eelovery charge). I had waited now and my food wasn't coming so very frustrated. I asked when they were planning on letting me know it wasn't coming and they said they had only just received my order. What a load of poo. Young girl on phone had no answers and just was keen to get me off the phone after saying i could collect food. Having had a drink this was not an option so eventually gave a refund over the phone. So annoyed to not only have waited,but to probably have continued to do so as clearly no-one was going to let me know in a hurry. Will be taking custom elsewhere for sure. Disappointed with the service and no food!"

"We did have a nice meal, couldn’t really fault the food, very tasty. It is a nice location. What spoilt it was the drinking crowd that made up the outside clientele. It was difficult to enjoy a meal when all you can hear is aggressive laughter and swearing from nearby table. I realise we could have said something to the staff but really I don’t think it’s my job to police their customers it didn’t take much to hear the sort of language being used, and I didn’t really fancy making a scene. Perhaps this is the market they are going for now, though there were families eating there and the food prices suggest something a bit more than a drinking pub. Anyway we ate up, didn’t bother with pudding and got out of there. Maybe just unlucky but if you go maybe check out inside for eating."
