"Salchipapas are typical Peruvian street food and La Salchipaperia has taken them off the street and given them a make over. Typical Salchipapas are simple consisting of french fries and sliced hotdogs, at La Salchipaperia they offer them with a variety of meets, hotdogs or sausages, and you can add things like bacon, egg, or cheese as well.When you get your order you can eat them plain, or top them with a variety of sauces including catsup, mayonnaise, mustard, BBQ, or any number of there 12 or so options.While not cheap food here, it is their options and variety of sauces that really set them apart when it comes to salchipapas, and makes this one of my favorite junk food type options."

"I had been meaning to go since it opened, but finally got the chance to stop by today. We had two cranky toddlers so it was a quick experience, but they were happy to allow us to use a room in the back that is there for 8-12 people, open to reservations for families or groups. The room is air conditioned and has a big hi-def television so my girls watched Peppa Pig while we scarfed the burgers. We got two burgers, Swiss, and Moroccan, and a "Pizzeta," like a personal pizza with hamburger, eggplant and zucchini. Everything was surprisingly excellent. The burgers were cooked exactly as requested (not over or underdone, which seems par for the course at lima burger joints) and super yummy. Mine had excellent flavors, I think there was a fruit on it along with bacon, and it was a good size, with a great bun. The french fries were more like fried potatoes but executed great, and the pizza was much more artisanal than I would have expected. Also the food came out quickly (as requested due to said cranky toddlers). Overall, this was a surprisingly good place in an area with a dearth of good restaurants and even less when looking for burgers, which is why it gets the 5 stars! Very excited to go back. PS. I love its modern decor. A great new addition to the La Molina neighborhood!"

"Great casual dining. Up a little alley way across from Kennedy Park. This alley way is lined with all sorts of restaurants for any taste. Quieter in the day but can be bustling in the evening. Tourists and locals alike eat here. My sister and I ordered "Piqueo Marino" which is a very large shared seafood platter. With an assortment of dipping sauces it was a very fresh and tasty meal. It was very cheap and came with free drinks as well. I would highly recommend."

"We just had to go to Chilis in Peru. Yes it seemed like we were wasting an opportunity of trying peruvian food, but sometimes you just need comfort food. The prices are fair, one of the cheapest meals in Peru that included alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks, appetizers and main dishes."
