"First visit to this pub on the corner of Broadway Market London Fields couldn't be easier to find. Only slight quirk, the online booking said there weren't any vacancies for lunch, their facebook chat told me just to turn up. I did and we had no problem getting a seat although it did get steadily busier throughout the afternoon. Staff were very pleasant indeed and were very welcoming to my dog (always important! . My other half and I both had the beef and although it took a bit to arrive (as it was being freshly prepared not just brought out from under a hot plate! it was flawless. Everything about it was perfect and like almost everyone else we saw eating there, the plates were sent back clean. Not cheap once drinks were factored in it was £100 for two but if you are careful of your drinks it will be more reasonable. Thoroughly recommend it."

"In a rush to grab some lunch on the way back to work we popped into this very cute looking Vietnamese place. I'm slightly obsessed with Vietnamese food at the moment and as soon as I saw the word from across the street I made a beeline for the place The menu looked interesting and well priced: baguettes for £5.50, noodles for £6.50. You could choose the topping/meat to go with it, the Pork sounded particularly good There is also a little cabinet with some chicken soups and rice paper rolls to choose from. "Brunch is an amazing meal and is what weekends are made for. Turn the alarm clock off, roll out of bed at a leisurely time and head straight for a meal where you can consume enough to cover two GUILT-FREE. Even the most steadfast of three meal a day advocates can surely buy into that concept. But of course brunch does come with its inherent risks, one being if it isn 't good, you 've not just had one bad meal but rather two. That however is not an issue at Hash E8. With plates of the chorizo sweet potato hash with black pudding and the Pig muffin to call company, the day was shaping up to be an epic. The Pig muffin in particular was an absolute beast. Containing a sausage patty, bacon, pork belly, hash brown, egg cake, cheese and bacon jam all exploding out of an English muffin, it takes a serious appetite just to make a dent in. It 's a daunting sight. But for those brave enough, you can take the Pig muffin to the next level with the Posh pig muffin of chorizo slice and crispy bacon with black pudding, beetroot hash brown, manchego cheese, spinach and chorizo jam. My heart was not strong enough on this day and after seeing my friend consume her 's, I 'm not sure her heart was quite strong enough either. Thankfully she is alright...I think. A cute all day cafe located snuggly in the heart of Dalston, it represents everything a neighbour haunt should; warm and welcoming with friendly staff and a unpretentious menu of quality, hearty food. If I lived closer, I 'd be here every weekend. Unfortunately, I don 't but it was well worth the hour journey. Check it out. "This was just okay, but pricey for that. Best thing that came was, surprisingly, the complimentary veg soup. The rest was a little bland and a bit so-so. Needed more herbs, spice and just flavour overall. Not awful, but a thousand better places to eat in east London."
