"Visited a wedding in September 2018 and dinner was made by the Nomad Gourmet . What a disaster! I read a Google review about this truck assignment a wedding that was a disaster and thought... one of the other guests must have written a review. No, the same truck different wedding. There were 10 tables of 8 guests each. Food came in saucers... maybe three or four burritos at a time....no where almost enough food to feed a table, let alone 10 tables. The service started at 5:30 a.m. and at 7:15 p.m. we had to look for food on table 8. the first 7 tables were back as their first exits obviously did not fill their plate, not their fault. Desaster. Guests on our table, including us leaving early because... good... hungry. I wouldn't recommend this guy to drive a hunger strike, no matter what special."

"A bit heavy on the salt but very nice take on every classic dishes. However, very pricey for what you get. 29$ for the gnocchi with 9-10 gnocchi on the plate. Scallops at 28$ for 5-6 scallops. Etc…It is surprising how they get away with it. Of note: excellent service"

"This place is awesome if you like real Chinese food. We have eaten there many times and always go back for more.Some of our favorite dishes are Chili Chicken and shredded patatoes. The restaurant is very casual, nithing upscale but the staff are friendly and the service is good."

"Good, friendly service....we visited after the noon hour. There was recent price increase on the specials, but they are still competitive with other establishments of similar type. Large portions. Vegetables properly cooked. Nothing particularly good, but certainly nothing bad. Very good rating because expectations were more than met."

"We have grown fond of this restaurant. The meat taste amazing, especially the beef. The servers were amazing. They are comforting and always ensures you have what you needed. They ensured that we were comfortable with the whole process of ordering and cooking by giving instructions and suggestions of time on the grill. Water was always filled. My favourite meat is the B2 Sweet Soy Marinated Short Ribs, B3 Chef Special Beef Brisket and P2 Korean Spicy Pork Belly. It’s a little on the pricy side of $39.99 but it is AYCE. They also have beef tounge if you’d like to try. Don’t worry the servers will teach you on how to cook it."

"Arrived in Halifax and walked to Chives from our hotel. You walk up a few stairs and enter hip cool space with framed mirrors and banquets. Staff is warm, friendly and informative. Started with sublime seafood chowder, burrata and the tart followed by lobster risotto. Finished with the triple layer ganache cake . Each dish prepared beautifully with the freshest ingredients. Highly recommend."
