"We had the three courses which for me was enough but my husband has a bigger appetite. We had the ham hock and crab to start both delicious and the pork belly for mains. Cheese and biscuits provided a good selection. If you...have a bigger appetite then do order a few sides, the minted potatoes were really good."

"We read in the local paper that the restaurant is due to close so decided to book before it was too late. Have been to the Alpine several times since the 1970's and have never had a bad experience here. Made to feel welcome on arrival, coats hung up and shown to table. Had plenty of time to consider menu and drinks and then ordered. My only complaint was that the food was served too quickly giving it the feel of a fast food establishment. Not enough time between courses. Still I am glad that I went and sad that it is closing."

"This Harvester is fantastic, I have visited many over the years and the staff here are the friendliest, most efficient all round greatest members we have encountered! The food was fantastic and it was so well organised! The best thing is you can walk through the park and enjoy what it has to offer before or after food and you can make it a real afternoon with friends and family! Cannot recommend enough!
