"Great food, great setting. Very relaxing vibe here. Could of whiled away several hours on the picturesque deck and surrounds. Prawn and Crab ravioli was a smash hit. Pork belly was tasty and well plated. A genuine attempt at at providing a French food adventure in Port Maquarie. Escargot was an interesting experience. These earthy little garlic bombs were not my cup of tea but hats to chef for providing this food oppurtunity. There is also a nice selection of wines and beveridges. Service was thorough. So all good at the Little Fish Cafe."

"Across our 4 days in Port, we have experienced some great food spots. Unfortunately this wasn't one of them!!It was very poor!I am sure they were missing a manager or someone providing direction this evening - the staff were literally all over the place. We saw meals and drinks coming and going to wrong tables, back to the kitchen, back to the bar.. staff were literally running (terrible waiting etiquette - you should never RUN to and from tables!!) The staff were all extremely young and there just seemed to be no one in charge! Admittedly, they were pleasant and trying to offer a decent service however it was obvious no one had a clue what they should be doing. The food was very average. My husband ordered oysters to no availability... no oysters at a seafood restaurant on a Saturday night!?Instead he got the prawns in prosciutto - he said they weren't very nice at all.For main he ordered the barramundi - again, he said it was terrible! He said he thought it was under cooked, the fish was watery. I ordered the pork ribs. They were ok. We would never go back nor recommend it. There are far too many other great places to eat in Port!"

"Refurbished premises provides nice areas for either normal dining or self-serve buffet. The all-you-can eat buffet upstairs provided excellent value for money with a wide variety of delicious food options."

"The waitress was A Class. She couldn't do enough to satisfy us. Straight away we were presented with an option for still or sparkling water then my steak was a little tough as the kitchen was in a temporary set up and she ran to get me another one then checked to make sure it was to my satisfaction. Even though the hotel was under renovations and the restaurant had a temporary set up (and perhaps Chef) we still enjoyed our night due to the lovely service."

"Went on a Wednesday night (Seafood night) cost $27.00 - for a buffet this is a great price. They have two sittings, I went to the earliest one 5:30pm.Walked upstairs, was dead on time and only a couple of others were already in there, staff took me to my reserved table and that was pretty much the last time I interacted with the staff…. They could've gone the extra mile and explained anything special, what the process is here etc - but no - here's your table see you later!I did a walk around of all the food, as a buffet, there is a great variety but with buffet's, you really have to get in early while the food is reasonably fresh and get out quick!Sushi train, - not very well lit - wasn't going to risk eating it as I really couldn't see what was going around? (They should have a time to say when it was made too)…Dessert bar - was pretty good, Seafood area - was good, deep fried section - plenty, salads hhhmmmmm… Staff should also be in the habit of turning/stiring food as it sits under the heat lamp for a while - it would give a better impression to say "eat me"…After a while, I started to see the same faces on the poor customers that didn't book a table - carefully looking at each table to see if it's been reserved desperately trying to find a place to eat.Hint** Book a table or you will be left to your own devices on trying to find a tableStaff do not take you to an empty table - they take your money and say good luck!I felt none of the staff wanted to be there, no smiles, no big "Welcome - thank you for dining with us" Wont be back 6 out of 10"
