"I have tried a few Ramen bars in Toronto (and Burnaby) and so far Jinya is my favourite. Not that the other ones are not good but overall Jinya is my always Ramen bar to go. Good quality ingredients, tasty and well-balanced broth, cleanness, great...service, and friendly staff are the main reasons. Once I ordered avocado salmon salad and after 10 minutes the server told me that they ran out of salmon. He apologized and offered 50% discount on anything I order. Great attitude!"

"I got a call from Tom George to say they wouldn't serve brunch during the summer months, only dinner. The hostess was very nice and asked me to postpone dinner which I did. The hostess also offered my group a round of drinks for the inconvenience. So I arrived at the restaurant at 6 p.m. on Sunday because I wanted to celebrate Father's Day with my family and the restaurant was closed. We were very surprised and disappointed. The restaurant didn't call the next day and I decided not to eat there again. So I went to the LA Chapter at the Ace Hotel on Sunday and we had a lovely dinner that I knew I would because I've been there before. I don't know whose responsibility it is at the open table to be sure that the information about a restaurant is current and accurate, but nothing like this has ever happened to me in a restaurant."

"For my bowl of ramen, I ordered the Spicy Chicken Ramen. It was a bowl of thin ramen noodles with chicken broth, chicken chashu, spinach, spicy bean sprouts, tokyo negi, and green onion. Usually I order the pork version of ramen at ramen bars, but this Spicy Chicken Ramen definitely spoke out to me. You can choose either the spice level of Mild, Spicy, or Hot. I chose the Mild one even though looking back, it would have been nice to try their Spicy level."

"I really enjoyed this place they have a heated patio with pretty lights and greenery. The food was amazing especially the five spice pork belly bruschetta. Their cocktails are tea inspired and also really tasty."

"A friend and I stumbled onto this great little find roaming around Chinatown. We went a little overboard and ordered the mango shaved ice with mango, minced pork rice, braised pork belly rice, black sticky rice in milk with mango, fresh water melon juice with tie guan yin tea along with peach and melon green tea. It was worth every calorie. Delicious .... The shaved mango was light, fluffy, sweet - melts in your mouth."

"Unique and creatively Canadian cuisine. Amazing tasting menu, portions are small but filling! Shared a tasting menu between 2 people and was sufficient. Service was great! Would definitely come back, especially since the menu changes to often!"

"Exceptional food in an authentic, non-demanding environment. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful, which added to the great experience. For bread lovers, there are 3 different breads, all of which are made there and are all wonderful. I stop on the way out of town to pick up bread and take it home to friends. My salad was fabulous and the vodka chicken pasta (a specialty) was cooked perfectly with a wonderful sauce. The specials change with the seasons. Desserts are all made there and everyone looked great. We share the ice cream on Sunday with homemade caramelized marshmallows and chocolate ganache. It was wonderful. You can share it with 4 people as it is very large. We will definitely have dinner here again when we return to Mayo and Golf."
