"Made another visit to the Hot Stove on Friday and was, once again greeted with great service, great food and a busy, well organized restaurant. Where else can you go to a fancy restaurant in a hockey jersey and feel right at home. We love this location because we don't need to rush out for the game. We can simply stroll down the stands and be in our seats. Its also great to be able to come back during the intermissions. Tried the pork chop this time and it was perfectly prepared. I know everyone at our table was very happy with the service and the quality of food. Always a good choice in a city so full of choices."

"We went with friends to Boland’s for the first time to celebrate a birthday. We were given menus and had lots of time to look them over before server came back. We asked him to take our drink orders, no problem. Service was not very prompt but to be fair there was only one server for 5 occupied tables and we were not in a rush. We ordered beet salad, onion soup and scallops as appetizers and we were all impressed with each of them. For dinner, we had the fish special, beef short ribs and the rack of lamb. The lamb was perfectly cooked and very tender and flavourful. Fish and ribs were delicious. We declined dessert , but had heard the lemon curd was incredible. Prices were reasonable for this type of restaurant. It was not too noisy and had a friendly atmosphere. Spoke to other diners and they were very impressed with their meals as were we. We would definitely go back."

"I have been to Boehmer a couple times before and enjoy their Tue half price bottles if wine and $1 oysters! It's great for girls night or a date, and the atmosphere is always busy and full of energy. Make a reso though as they always book up on a Tues....they also do $20 lobster Tues as well. And if you want to eat earlier get there early cause one thing is the food takes FOREVER to come, including the appetizers."
