"Value for your money.Vietnamese laksa came with fish balls n thins, shrimp n mixed noodles (oil n vermicelli) in hot rich laksa soup.Chicken n pork chops were rich with lemon grass herbs which I like and not paper thin as many Vietnamese restaurant serve these days.Vegetarian options: Multiple options from noodles to rice."

"This used to be Kenny's Gourmet Chinese FoodWas totally disappointed in food quality and service. We had to flag our server down multiple times to order and ask for a drink. We asked for some clarification and the server could not explain any of the dishes on the menu. The food is not traditional Chinese as they serve spaghetti with chicken and pasta sauce and lots of egg based dishes. We finally got the coke we ordered at the beginning of our meal when the bill came. So we took the can to go. Won't be back!"

"Before I come to the food comment at this Pho Pad Thai restaurant, one thing more important than that was never happened in my life I need to bring that up - the staff tricks you on how you paid by credit !!! What happened was that when you ask for a bill and pay by credit card, they brought the remote terminal to you but keyed in "everything" for you - which includes tips of 15% ... so when you are not realizing that, you click accepted thinking it is about the food + taxes amount to start with and then tips...so when I realized that, it was too late to go back and key in PIN. I asked the waitress, she in turns blame me saying "what ?" I said, should the tips amount key in by me instead of you ? The waitress continued to pretend not her fault...! I replied, you are not a honest person...so in my mind, I already said to myself I will never come back and just don't want to get out right now, so I let them robbed my tips. Now let me come to the food portion. On top of the portion of the noodle and meat was considered little, yet the price is not cheap though, which is ok to me at that time until I ask where is my beef tendon , I only see meat...(I ordered a combo) ...then the waitress said ok, I will bring ONE piece for you....at the ended, until I paid the bill, that waitress never comes back and hide from us. Lastly, when we first sat down, right away few waitress coming one after the other asking me what to order...I said to them, I just sat down and please let me read the menu. Then when I am ready, I found no one until few minutes after I keep on watching if they were around. Wow...this was the place I will NOT return and wanted to let other people know this Pho Pad Thai (at Apple Creek in Markham) is "ready" to close the business as they have been operating like that nobody wanted to be treated that way, including themselves if they were the customer I believe."

"This is a review of the Sunday brunch buffet. The food is quite good, but their isn't enough variety, particularly for the price they charge. The desserts are mediocre. The ambience is excellent (they even have a pianist) and the restaurant is very nicely finished."

"If you love HK Cafe style food, this is worth a try. Baked pork chop on rice was tasty as were the noodles. Also enjoyed the bubble waffle. Next time will try the curry ????"

"I come here regularly, not because of its food nor service. My friends and I meet here because it is a fairly good size restaurant and not too busy, so that we can sit and talk for a while. The food is ok, not good, service varies depending on the waitress. Price is reasonable."

"We are looking for HK-style restaurant in Markham and Richmond Hill area. We would say New City Restaurant is the best among all other HK-style restaurants in the city. They are not ingenious, rather... acceptable for very good. Owners and servers are very...friendly and efficient. There is always line-up, but you usually get a table within 5 minutes. We tried their breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner, and we like them all. This is our first HK-style restaurant in town."

"Kitchen M 名廚坊 is located in Markham, near the intersection between Highway 7 McCowan Road. It’s a HK Style Cafe, which means it serves a large variety of asian food, from breakfast to “Har Ng Chai” to soup noodles to congee, etc.<br/ <br/ It’s definitely jam packed from morning to evening since it serves so many asian items throughout the day.<br/ <br/ In particular, I like it’s lunch and brunch menu, especially afternoon tea (Har Ng Chai), which serves from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. These special “Har Ng Chai” items include a hot beverage during this particular time period.<br/ <br/ This place is modern, clean and is spacious for a HK Style Cafe standards, that’s because its predecessor was once being used as Japanese all-you-can-eat (AYCE) but now converted as Kitchen M. I would say the staff are quite attentive and most speak good/decent English that could serve you and recommend you with good food suggestions. Almost every table has the “Korean Style” ringer, which you can press a button for service or press the button for the bill. The ringer is super helpful especially Kitchen M is such a spacious place that sometimes finding a staff around maybe an issue.<br/ <br/ I like the morning combo that serves toast, sausage omelette, ham strips on soup macaroni, plus a hot beverage, all for $5.95 before tax. That’s a great deal! Mind you, the soup macaroni is in good portion as well.<br/ <br/ Personally, I really like its pepper beef sirloin stir fry spaghetti. Good “wok air”, with hot temperature when it arrives to your table. Peppercorn beef sirloin strips are nicely marinated, you can really smell and taste the peppercorn in the beef. I also love the onions, peppers and beansprout. This is a MUST order. If you can’t eat beef, you can ask for pork chop meat instead. Same great taste, but clearly, I do prefer the peppercorn beef sirloin.<br/ <br/ Another great food item at Kitchen M is the “Chu Chow” creamy soup rice noodles that come with fish balls, fish sticks and crispy fish skins. Complete package, super tasty. Coupled with its signture chilli oil? Perfecto!<br/ <br/ Next time you are around the Markham area, be sure to visit Kitchen M.
