"I've been going to Batch for years and have continued to get take away coffee's and occasionally eating in since it changed hands a few years ago. Went in today with my partner for his birthday brunch. I ordered a soy chai and the potato rosti with harissa, rocket and creme fraiche. The soy chai was very weak and tasteless so I sent it back, I was offered another but declined as it wasn't so great the last time I was there either. The potato rosti arrived with no harissa so I asked for some on the side. They brought hot sauce over and I explained I wanted some extra HARISSA as there was none in the dish (the potato rosti was also very oily). At this point the owner explained to me that they are out of stock of the harissa so used hot sauce in the dish instead. I ended up sending the meal back after a couple of mouthfuls it's simply not what was advertised and not what I wanted (note: it was written up on a blackboard so easily changeable). I was offered another dish but declined the offer as what I ordered is what I wanted! When I went to pay I was charged full price $58.00 (this included my partners eggs Benedict and coffee which were both fine). No offer of a discount and no apology for the fact they were not serving what was advertised. Obviously we won't be back. Not happy. "My friend's husband was on call so we decided to go somewhere close to their house. This place didn't have high chairs but my friend brought one over from their place. <br/ <br/ After reading through the specials board, I decided on a bacon and prawn skewer with omelette and chilli jam. This was pretty good and the chilli jam was yummy like a sambal. 4/5<br/ <br/ My husband had the brioche French toast with bacon, maple syrup and seasonal fruits. It was delicious and he was quite happy with it. 5/5<br/ <br/ We finished off with a mini passion fruit cheesecake which was not bad. 4/5<br/ <br/ Service was friendly and we had no complaints. 4/5"

"We were regulars here before it changed owners so we can confirm the food and the service has remained at the same high level. Coffee to go is available but, if you want to sit down, the menu offers something for everyone with an all day breakfast and specials. They get fairly busy especially on weekends so, if you are a group of five or more, book ahead."
