"Went to RC's to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food and service were great. We started off with appetizers - 5 large shrimp, 2 crab cakes and the crab stuffed mushrooms. All were very good. My wife ordered the 20 ounce ribeye (our daughter took home half of it!), our daughter ordered the double tournedos with garlic shrimp and I had the garlic and panko crusted halibut. We ordered 3 sides for the table (far more than we could eat!). The food was excellent, the steaks were to die for they were so tender. The halibut was a little dry. My wife received a complimentary birthday cake complete with a candle. Very pricey but very good. A great evening."

"The Saltwater Grill has been a Galveston staple for some time. I was encouraged that the menu has been updated with new items, while preserving some of their best offerings - I swear the Shanghai Delight is laced with Prozac because I'm always happy when I eat it. This time I tried one of their new "naked" offerings, hoping the fish would be allowed to shine. I had the grilled redfish, which was done perfectly - the very thin edges were a little crisp and carmelized but the fish was still moist and flavorful. I did miss the bread - this was one of the few restaurants in town that started with something with substance, so I was quite disappointed when a little crock of crackers appeared instead of bread. The restaurant is very noisy - I was ok hearing my companions but certainly couldn't hear the server well."
