"A trip to Waldeck with a tour of the castle we wanted to complete with a nice lunch. At the castle itself the restaurant Alte Turmuhr at the Hotel Schloss Waldeck, but already a short look at the map showed that this would not be our first choice. A preliminary soup, crèche, if I remember correctly, costs about 13 euros. Then we went to the opposite Cafe Restaurant Altane. But even the map here in the curtain did not touch me. Well, the potato soup already, but €6.50 was a bit too much for me. Well, if we'd known what's going to happen, the potato soup might have been the better choice here. And so we went to search for an alternative. Near the Edersee dam we were found. The terrace hotel, whose front terrace provided a beautiful view of Edersee and dam. And the places were also very sought-after, so we could appreciate a free table. The seating alone was cruelly uncomfortable: small garden chairs, which seemed to have come from the 70s and had actually belonged to the seat cushions. So I saw myself asking for a seat cushion. In principle, there is probably not this, but the customer is king and so a seat cushion was quickly worried somewhere. Thanks for the service! At least at the very beginning, the service personnel did not have the right motivation, but this can also be tolerated by the hot weather! The beverage order was nevertheless received quite quickly. I'm a soup fan and always like to have something new. Waldecker bread soup sounded promising, at least after a change. The crust roast from the Waldecker Landschwein in Altbiersauce, crispy roast potatoes and colorful salad had done it to me. How great was the disappointment that this court was today! I was so happy. How can it be that such a sounding : court stands on the map, but cannot be ordered? I asked if there was something else with roast potatoes, and the answer was that I could get everything with roast potatoes. Well, I then chose a Schnitzel Puszta Style with roast potatoes instead of fries. As so often only a small famine of my loved ones, he said in an order of an oven potato with sour cream. The drinks came very fast, just like my bread soup. But I was completely disappointed with this! Four small roasted bread pieces in a boar or vegetable broth with some vegetables inlay and undefined small ingredients that reminded me of blood sausage. I felt relocated for decades, because: it tasted like the soup that we could draw at school in the vending machine, where there was also coffee and cocoa. Well, honestly, I always liked to draw them very much. If you searched in the net to Waldecker bread soup, you don't find such a soup! Most of them are onion soups, which should not mean that there can be no different forest soups. Mostly disturbed me that the soup was just a little more than lukewarm. Not talking about hot. Do you think this was back to the hot weather? Unfortunately thrown money. Too bad. I was asked when I was clearing if everything was right. But I still don't dare to say anything. And then it took, and lasted, and lasted. In the meantime, we were served by another service and I then asked if the colleague would have delivered our order at all. No question, it's okay. Only the time passed so that the alcohol-free wheat was already empty and a three-quarter liter bottle of water had to be ordered, which was thankfully served in a cooler! And then it finally came. Let's start with the oven potato. My wife thinks it's a fundamental problem that too little sour cream has always been delivered. And that's how it was here. The potato tasted ok, but was very strangely dark colored. My wife even meant that she had never had such an unappetic looking potato. She seemed bad but not. Also in my two small carvings it could have been necessary to have a bit more pusztasauce. The sauce itself tasted like Mixed Pickels in Gypsy sauce. It's all right. Because of fiery Puszta sauce! Why are so often used terms that have nothing to do with the food offered? But the clou were the roast potatoes. Rarely, I'll leave roast potatoes on the plate, today half went back. It's crispy! Okay, it was just at the crust roast, but then I would assume a basically crispy. These potatoes bend like rubber. On a disc I had the association of the dilapidating clock of Dali! And that looked very much like Convenience potatoes, those one gets for 99 cents in the Aunt Emma shop I was standing before . Sadly, if I have to say for myself that the supplemental salad was actually the best at the main dish. And again it was asked if everything was right. And this time I said, well, if they already ask, then I am also honest and told that these roast potatoes are truly not crispy. The colleague had probably not expected this, as amazed as he looked, but he reacted very confidently what the other two young men would probably not have done in the service. But who knows. He murmured some coffee later and he would report it to the kitchen. Then it remained. No more question about coffee at the expense of the house. Just if we wanted something else. No thanks, please. Well, it's not that I can't write any positive reviews. And I like to. At the moment, however, I find it very difficult. It's time to get up again!
